Oh, so Google is engaging in stealing and copying illegally when it bought Motorola for its IP library?
Google Bought the IP rights along with the product, please do not feign ignorance as what goes on in China. Its not like Baidu isn't a copy of google, or Weibo copied twitter. Its Blatant. Here's a helpful link to open your eyes.
What Chinese IP Violations Cost the U.S. : IMT Industry Market TrendsAmerican firms lost nearly $48 billion in 2009 due to Chinese violations of U.S. intellectual property, new data show. Improving IP rights protection in China could have a sizable effect on the U.S. economy and jobs.
Despite broad success in the Chinese market, many businesses in the United States continue to claim that the infringement of their intellectual property (IP) rights in China and "indigenous innovation" lol policies have undermined their competitive positions, a new report from the U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) says.
Chinese workers still have plenty of work even their wages is far higher than those in most of South and Southeast Asia.
"KPMG says that minimum wage levels in China are four times greater than other places in South and South East Asia.
However, it believes China can defend its position because of its productivity and infrastructure."
BBC News - China minimum wage up by 21.7% despite economic cooling
The statement was in response to an earlier statement glorifying Chinese hard work. I can't figure out how you managed to insert terms like minimum wage or infrastructure into it. Hint: they are not related to what I said. Next time try to keep up whats being said.
You seem to be incapable of understanding the whole point of money and capitalism is people can do different works and acquire fruits of other's labor by trading and exchange. I'm sure you're not growing all your food, generating all your electricity and making all your computer, so by your reasoning you must be copying or stealing them, right?
You are too slow to grasp the topic being discussed. I'll try to break it down for you just once.
China say me buy product, China not buy IP rights. China not supposed to make copies. China still make copies. China do copyright infringement.
You can buy the fruits of course, but are not entitled to the tree just because you bought the fruit.
This debate is going no where, because there are double standards and we can spend a lot of effort just arguing over fluffy details and definitions. Anybody with clear eyes should just wait and see.
There are no double standards, there are laws and rules. China forces firms to give up their technology and not just make use of cheap labor. They term it as indigenous innovation. Once you outsource you manufacturing to China every firm knows there are no IP rights to cover you. Hence not much high tech manufacturing outsourced to China, though it will be cheaper.
