North Korea & South Korea
Vietnam & Cambodia
Myanmaar & Bangladesh
Saudia Arabia & Iran etc......

So this mutual friendship thing has a different meaning to it. I think that after our most friendly relations situation in 1962, (hindi chini bhai bhai...) it is best that India and China just realize that it is best to be responsible and prospering neighbours because the friendship idea is taking things too far in the present shape of things.... may be in ten years, India can be a mutual friend of China and Pakistan too....

1. because we r not ready to agree some part of our nation integral to us as a part of other nation

err... no, 62 was a boarder war if india wants to go nuclear dispite having a no first use policy over a boarder war then it is truly a unstable state. now without use of nuke india has no way to "send" china back to 62 china on the other hand can make it rain conventional missiles in new Delphi not that it will.

I think a lot of people are taking this the wrong way. When china said they want to be friend of pak and India, I dont think they meant, 'right now'. Its about cultivating a friendship over time.

And as for 1962, it happened almost 50 years ago. I think we in asia nurse grudges for too long. look at the europeans. they got together after ww2. so if they can, we can.

Now I am not saying thatw e should just trust blindly and leap forward. but if they are offering a hand of friendship, be ready to take it. But at the same time dont let out guard down.

But we should not jump to the assumption that an offer of friendship is a trap. It can also be sincere. We should be cautious, not paranoid.
