Look, I have no dog in this hunt but if someone came to America and did this(see below), Americans would be livid. This is insulting to the people who democratically elected their representatives.
Good or bad, everyone who lives in a democracy knows that it is growing pains...but to openly go to a military chief of a country. I don't know if Pakistanis even get it, this highly disrespectful to the voters and citizens. Regardless.
" Sun Weidong, Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, called on Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif on June 7. An official statement released after the meeting stated: “Matters of mutual interest, including regional security and China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, came under discussion.”

Army job is ensure security and safety for CPEC and give danda to people like Pervaiz Khattak for its timely completion.
Like Chinese don't know how much kick backs forces people demand, when they sign defence deals.

The Chinese know the the army can override the civilian gov at any minute if it chooses. So that is why this meeting take place.

Minister for Planning says both China and Pakistan are committed and working hard to complete China Pakistan Economic Corridor in stipulated time. He was speaking at a meeting with a delegation of Chinese businessmen in Islamabad. The Minister said cooperation between Gilgit-Baltistan and Xinjiang province of China can add a new chapter to CPEC because of their geographic proximity. Pakistan wants to learn from China's development experience of establishing economic zones like the Kashgar economic zone. The Chinese delegation assured to promote business and other relations between Gilgit-Baltistan and Xinjiang.
ECNEC approves six projects of worth over Rs81 billion
The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) has approved six projects of worth over 81 billion rupees. The committee, which met in Islamabad today with Finance Minister Ishaq Dar in the chair, approved modern billing system for the entire company of IESCO at a cost of 16,930.1 million rupees. It also approved similar project for five divisions of LESCO at a cost of 30,274.66 million rupees. ECNEC acceded Sindh Resilience Project for strengthening flood embankments and construction of small dams with a total cost of Rs. 9984.00 million. It also approved construction of Lahore Sialkot motorway with a cost of 5904.116 million Rupees.

According to reports, the blast took place near Governor House and explosive was installed on a bike.
The police said, no causalities are confirmed yet.

China is not only taking a huge risk with massive investments but truly laying the foundations for a prosper Pk.
Did any of PK friends from ME have come to help in such a way and taken such risks?
It is understandable that an enconomically stable and prosperous Pk is not in the interest of indians.
But a prosperous and stable PK is in the strategic interest of China.
Therefore, it is in the national interest of Pk to provide full security to the Chinese working in your good country and also to the Chinese investment which is for the benefit of both countries.
PK Army and special forces are best suited for the task.

If it wasn't for Gen. Raheel then this mega asset project of Pakistan would had been a dream, because pml-n just like their bastard brother ppp have no interest in developing Pakistan & are not working for Pakistan's interests.
PA should play a very active role in development of CPEC with China & also design a strategy with China for the protection & safety of CPEC.

The Chinese are not stupid you know, they are very much aware that the most professional and organised government institution is the Pakistan military and it wants to ensure that its 45 billion $ investment will not go down the drain.

why army could not break through a deal like CPEC when they were military rulers themselves? secondly we have seen competence of army as they ruled country for quite a long time . cpec was a project by GOP & it should continue the project and army must not coup this project as it is in their history. while Chinese ambasador has already denied any role for army Couple of days back.

Let us change the roles... If the good people of PK i.e. their governemt will be spending and planing to spend a huge amount of money (much, much more than the publicaly stated 45 bls), would they not want to talk to someone who can gauarantee their investment?
PK armed forces are the only singular strong pillar of the state. Hence the Prs. Xi talking to the man in charge in his last visit.
When PK has true leaders who work for the State of Pakistan Chinese leadership will talk to them directly.
PK people should be grateful to have such competent armed forces...without these forces...imagine the scenarios of your good country.
PA is doing all the right things at the right time for CPEC. Win-win for the both great people-Chinese & Pakistanis alike.
We must build up this as two of our nations stand on the verge of shaping a a new world. Each in her own capacity.
Bigger Picture. Hope PK friends see it and get behind for their own national peace and development.
PK is a central asian and ME power. Hopefully, PK people see this fact and build their good nation.
