so far china has declined to open their naval base in gwadar , but considering the fact that america is continuly increasing its presence in the pacific and arabian sea , china wouldn't be at a loss in setuping up a naval base here or maybe placing their upcoming aircraft carrier here

What 'frustration'? What '$hit' situation are you yapping about? Like you Chinese claim that the South China Sea belongs to China because it's called 'South China Sea', similarly, the Indian Ocean belongs to India because it's called the 'Indian' Ocean!

So how dare you even think of venturing into our territory? You guys would get screwed because you'll be too far away from mainland China to protect your flotilla of two and a half ships loitering around trying to get a foothold there, thousands of kms away! Without any support whatsoever, the Chinese would be cut to pieces!

The British named the ocean south of India the "Indian Ocean," which was previously unamed. The South China Sea was the term used by all nations participant in the sea. The notable exception is Vietnam, which has recently changed it to the East Sea.

And I seriously don't think China has the capability to set up and maintain foreign naval bases.
