is there a benefit compared to rpg/rr rifles etc?

same as
above?
You are comparing Apple to orange.

Looking at the barrel length, I am sure it can hit target more than 5000m away. Can RPG or rifle do that?

Mortar or Mobile Mortar is different than RPG or Recoilless Rifle, Mortar is an indirect-fire support weapon, which you use on non-LOS target (usually to engage defilade position), RPG or RR is a direct support weapon, which you engage target that's within your LOS.

Also, since the trajectory of Mortar and RPG/RR are quite different (One is by plunging fire, the other with direct parabolic action) Mortar cannot be used to engage armored target, usually against fixed position, while RPG/RR usually can be used on both.

Firepower wise, the mortar usually have a larger detonation/blast radius, because it does not house propulsion unit.

Recoilless Rifle do go up to 6000 meters max range.

SPG-9 goes up to 6100 meters where US made M-67 goes up to 2500 to 3000 meters range.

Is it a mortar or mortar/howitzer. The angle of fire is more lok a howitzer

This clearly is direct rather than indirect fire.

Looks a lot like the Russian 2B9 Vasilek (max range 4,270 meters)
