This Is The Fastest Jump Rope Kid In The World
by Daniel Utts Dec 10 1:44pm

Most people have jumped rope at some point in their life, but this is taking it to another level. A Chinese boy set the world record for kids, jumping 380 times in one minute. Yes, it is as fast as one would expect.

Even without a jump rope, the footwork speed is remarkable. Factor in that he is using a jump rope (which can barely be seen because it’s moving so fast), and it’s even more crazy. With over six jumps per second, his speed, stamina and strength is all shown off at once.

There are a lot of jump rope records out there, and plenty of kids will be trying to take this one down. For now, 380 jumps in a minute is the record to beat for the younger crowd.

Cen won 27 gold medals from a total of 29 categories at the event

Officials at Nad Al Sheba Sports Arena said he was so fast, it was difficult to count the jumps.

The result could only be confirmed after they watched the footage in slow motion.

Cen, a pupil at Qixing Primary School in Guangzhou, China, won 27 gold medals from a total of 29 categories at the event.

"(You) have to sway (the rope) very, very fast and keep your upper body steady," he told China's state broadcaster CCTV.

The next world championships are due to take place in Sweden in July.
