Why do you guys celebrate Chinese holidays such as Chinese new year, Confucius birthday, qingming, and ghost festival in july to name a few.
I wish Vietnamese will start using English last names and quit bastardizing Chinese surnames. It was great you guys abandoned the Chinese characters as your written language and used French instead. I was so happy for that. Next, your surnames...

It should be discussed in another thread, ... bolo. The Vietnamese member only offer American member to culture exchange, and you jumping up and down to claim all that culture from you.

I can tell you all that Chinese companies aim for profit in Vietnam in near future, they never leave. No matter who will leave, the quantity of Chinese invested companies keep increasing here for TPP advantages and domestic market.
For example, Midea could sell huge quantity of their Aircon here, because it's really hot here ... and they could export their Made in Vietnam products easier to ASEAN based on ATIGA FTA as a Vietnamese company.

the room rate : $80.00 for luxury room, not too much, but the discount price is only $40.00 as my brother work there as Deputy Director.

It seem that Hanoi room rate was considered as world wide cheapest , I dont know, but much cheaper than Thailand and Singapore, and Malaysia ...Let check for a room area too. Singapore hotel room maybe 9-10 sqm in area only while double, triple the rate.

Let's check for Santa Barbara hotel, a good hotel with room rate about $42.00 ...

Vietnamese members should not insult to Chinese culture and vice versa. That's my opinion.

A plane carrying ‪#‎Chinese‬ ‪#‎workers‬, who bore the brunt of the violence in Vietnam, landed on Sunday at Sichuan’s Shuangliu International Airport. They are now being treated in a number of the province's top hospitals. For many, the images of the deadly chaos, the fires and their fear, are all still etched clearly in their memory.

A #Chinese ‪#‎worker‬ named Gong Bin described his ordeal in graphic detail.

"They were holding very thick rods. They beat us with them. It was very brutal. We had nothing to defend ourselves with when we were attacked. Even though we were wearing helmets, they fell off during the attacks. They hit our heads with great force."

Days of violence in Vietnam left at least two dead and more than 100 injured.

Li Weimin, Director of the West China Hospital, said the workers mainly had head and chest injuries, with others suffering serious injuries to their eyes. The hospital has arranged for specialists in these fields to treat them.

Chinese can not understand what does the language mean. Han Zi is a symbols system to record in text what Han people think or speak out, Han people understand it.

Cantonese write Han Zi, Han people can understand it, base on the idea of such characters. But Cantonese speak out with your voices what you has been written, Han Chinese don't understand what you are talking about, like two foreigner.

In the past Vietnamese studied Confusism, like Chinese study Marx, Engel, Lenin and Stalin recently. Think more before you could troll.

Chinese evacuees from Vietnam recount ordeals

Over 300 Chinese nationals affected by the deadly violence in Vietnam have been receiving treatment over the past two days in top provincial hospitals in southwest China's Sichuan province. Our reporter met some of them, who recounted their experiences of the deadly attacks last week in Vietnam.

Many of these workers back home in China had lived in Vietnam for a number of years. They never imagined they’d have to leave so suddenly and in the face of such violence.

"They stopped the bus. There were thousands of them. They dragged us out, beat us with stones and steel pipes. Just the thought of that scares me," said Wang Chaoyong, an injured Chinese worker.

For many, it will take a long time to get that fear completely out of their system.

"We were in the dorm, and all of a sudden they rushed in... I don’t want to recall what happened, it was a horrible moment," said injured worker Yu Heyou.

"They burned the buildings. We ran out and they were waiting for us holding steel pipes and stones. We had nowhere to escape. They beat us on our heads and feet and chased us until they caught us. They beat us until we fainted," Li Zhi recalled.

The Metallurgical Corporation of China announced that nearly 3,600 of their staff were threatened and attacked. Twenty three of the staff were severely injured. Four died in the attack.

On Tuesday, the head of the MCC’s Foreign Trade Department, Zhang Jin, said in a press conference that Vietnam should immediately investigate and punish all the criminals. He also asked for the losses suffered by Chinese enterprises and individuals to be compensated.

"Before we evacuated from Vietnam, we began to evaluate the losses caused by the riot. As we found at the site that our office, cars and most equipment were burned and destroyed, and living supplies were stolen. The economic losses are expected to be huge," said Zhang Zhaoxiang, president of Metallurgical Corporation of China.

"More importantly, our workers there have suffered great psychological trauma. We hope Vietnam could compensate our losses. Construction can only be resumed when the situation in Vietnam is stable."

More than 3,500 Chinese workers, who were evacuated from Vietnam, arrived in Haikou on Tuesday.

Earlier this week, State Councillor and Defense Minister of China, Chang Wanquan, stressed that the Chinese side’s legitimate oil-drilling operations in the waters near the Xisha Islands can’t be hindered by other countries.

Looking at the overall picture of the China-Vietnam relationship, the Vietnamese side should respect history, face reality and not make mistakes again and again, Chang said.

First: u can not prove all kind of culture above were invented by Chinese, maybe u copied from somewhere and say its yours.

Second: Many Vnese love Western and Indian cultures like Buddism too. We use Western characters and celebrate Western new year, Christmas too.
