oh Damn!!! So this means that the indian Airforce and Army is blackmailing their public and the politicians to squeeze out more money and funds to fillup their pockets..Excellent job done by them.........:D

For our defence against enemy's will give money...and we have enough of it. As for filling up the pockets...you clearly dont know St Antony..lol

The question of the J-10B being purchased or transferred is a little inaccurate.
There is a Letter of Intent.. an MoU..
But no actual purchase yet.
We cannot afford it.. and dont want another loan from the Chinese for it.

India also has to contend with some 80 formidable F-16 fighters..along with a 150 competitive JF-17

the PAF has sufficient capability to defend its own skies for a couple of days in case of a conflict but in no way will it be able to carry deep strike missions deep inside Indian airspace the most likely scenario in war would be IAF strike fighters like Mirage and Jaguar accompanied by MKI or MiG-29 going into Pakistan airspace which makes it difficult for our side because not only do we have to deal with the PAF but also the threat from SAM's both MANPAD and mobile SAM's on tracked or wheeled platforms.

in the first few days PAF could hold its own but eventually numbers and qualitative superiority will bewilder the PAF into annihilation kind of like how the Pak navy was almost wiped out by the Indian navy in 1971. how a scenario of war is highly unlikely since MAD (mutally assured destruction) will cause hesitation to go to war.

A lot of things depend upon SEAD missions and SAM systems that Pakistan operates. As it is clear that PAF would, atleast initially, only perform CAP within Pakistani airspace in cover of our own SAM's & EW from our AEW&S. Other than that the only mission for our bombers would be to deploy CM's/ARM's from as far as possible. PAF would venture into Indian Airspace only if IAF is considerablly weakened or if our Army requires air cover inside Indian border.

Best thing about PAF and Pakistan Military is that nobody knows really what level of equipment they operate. Even yet, FD-2000 and other SAM systems have not been confirmed even though quite a few here know what reality is.

Hi,

With the current day technology, there is no such thing as who is t he best----. Indian pilots are extremely efficient at their jobs and specially when you are sitting in an aircraft like the su30----where each aircraft projects its force by 4 times that of the enemy's----your performance, efficiency and learning capabilities automatically goes up---because you are flying one of the world's top peforming aircrafts---.

Iaf has extremely stringent guidelines for its pilots and they are as good as any of the top air force pilots of the world---. The technology available in the frontline iaf aircraft is very advanced and once the pilot learn to operate the system---it automatically guides it through a lot of different steps which were done manually in the past---.

Iaf wants 240 su30's---120 on pak border---120 on china border---each su30 can carry 4 times the number of bvr's than an F16 or a JF17----su30's radar is almost twice as large as that of the F16 and jf17---and pretty much twice as strong----.

A chain is as strong as its weakest link---a pilot is as good as the aircraft that it is flying---so if each su30 is 4 times more power ful in weapons and twice as powerful in its radar----how big of an idiot do you think that an iaf pilot could be to be considered inferior to a paf pilot.

The su30 is the aircraft that the paf pilot is going to face in the begining of hostilities----. When a sortie of two jf17's are trying save their lives from 4 missiles locked on each one of them launched by a single su30 aircraft----what is your thinking of paf pilots capabilities.

You have posted a dream story of some Indian. As the SU-30MKI is mighty so is its RCS which can be picked up hundreds of miles away by our AWE&CS which can then provide that information to our SAM's and PAF fighters on CAP duties. Do you have any idea how many fighters the Russian Airforce lost to Georgian SAM systems? Infact by their own SAM systems as Georgia was using Russian SAM system purchased from ukraine/Yugosalavia or some country like that. Russians cannot even jam their own SAM systems, imagine the challenge that they will face with American/Chinese/Hybrid SAM systems.

Former Vice Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal PK Barbora, however, said China’s offering Pakistan a squadron of the J-10s may not threaten India’s air superiority. “China does not have a great record of producing a world-class aircraft. All they do is reverse engineer and manufacture aircraft. Secondly, by raising just one squadron Pakistan may not benefit much,” he said.

When having loose motions you always belittle the enemy!

The IAF advantage is not as formidable as you think. Firstly, in an offensive role, not all Su-30s will have AWAC coverage(due to logistical constraints) while most defending front-line PAF fighters can tap into AWAC or ground based radar targeting information. This neutralizes the radar advantage. As long as the PAF stays on home turf and plays the defensive game, the Su-30s can be blunted.

Secondly, the IAF has a very fragile logistical tail. Most key subsystems(engine blades, IRST pods, Radar....etc) and BVR munitions of the Su-30s can't be manufactured from scratch in India(assembly from imported Russian/French parts isn't gone to be fast enough in wartime). Moreover the Indian transportation system is in a terrible state of disrepair and that even transporting parts and munitions from supply depots to front line bases would be slowed down considerably. All in all, the IAF only has enough spare parts and BVR munitions for about 1 week of a high intensity air war. The same rules constrain the PAF, however, the land border with China would allow us to resupply the PAF much faster than Russia/France/Israel could supply the IAF.

So ultimately, if the PAF can hold it's ground for 1 week against an IAF offensive, then IAF will either have to stop the offensive, or bear unacceptably high losses and still not gain a conventional victory.

Well IAF is using French & israeli jammers not the russian one so I think they will do better

nobody is discounting the PAF..they are a professional air force ...that is why IAF is worried..
People have to understand that IAF is not taking PAF lightly

Self contradictory statement and the article

on one hand IAF is allegedly worried about the possible purchase of Chinese hi-tech aircraft by PAF and on the other hand IAF is dismissing this acquisitions because according to it China doesnt have the record of quality stuff?

There is a difference between Worry and Fear. Most of the people failed to distinguish the two.
