China rolls out AWACS aircrafts for Pakistan Air Force

One thing to note, 400-450km for ZDK-03 & 350-400 km for Erieye are ADVERTISED ranges. Actual ranges are more than this. Also, two different AESA AEW&C systems in the air, guiding PAF fighters will create a havoc for IAF to counter!

True, but IAF will also be coordinating similar missions, so speed, accuracy, reliable network management and execution will be key to all future air battles. PAF needs to enhance the BVR capabilities.

Entire indian air fleet can communicate with the Phalcon although they are of Russian/french/british origin.

WTH man, did you even read what you posted there?

The F-16s use a secure American/NATO standard called link 16 to communicate........how can you hook them up to JF-17s using Chinese systems?

The Air Chief said that for F-16s...the data would be relayed to ground from where it would encrypted and compatible to Chinese systems. So instead of F-16s talking directly to JF-17s and J-10s they would do via ground.......kinda long but considering the advanced in radio and computer tech, it would cost mere second delay...........afterall you have a bigger error with GPS due to relative time nature of radio signals coming from and going to space.

JF-17s and J-10s would be hooked up to Chinese systems....no confirmation on SAAB AWACs yet though..........the concept is to have all AWACs send data to ground from where it is relayed to respective aircraft....let it be F-16s or J-10s.....while Chinese AWACs would also talk directly to J-10s/jf-17s.

I am not sure what you mean by entire IAF being able to talk to Phalcon......do you mean even MIg21s? PLease provide a source.

AFAIK A/c's that can communicate with Phalcons are SU 30MKI, MiRAGE 2000, Mig 29's SMT's Mig29K naval, LCA Tejas. and yes the Mig 21 Bison's (not any other 21's ) MMRCA a/c's will have full interoperability with Indian AWACS.

So, will the US government let you employ your own datalink on F16's so that you can achieve more commonality with Awacs platform rather than transmitting to ground and then retransmitting to other A/C's OR how bout using th same Nato Link 16 on chinese platforms... will your chinese friends let you do that???

there was a news on all news channels that by 2015 china will pull ahead of the whole world in inventions and innovations.
Wonder what kind of brill defence thech they gona come up with.

Yes, in the next 20 years perhaps and for the sake of your convenience till then, we will abandon all future PAF plans. On a side note, read history of KS-172 and when will it actually be operational. All the talk about AWACS killer is utter rubbish simply because even Russians are not sure how good this missile is at such an extended range.

Lets look past the diversion offered by our India friends - how many stations are configured on the ZDK and does Kamra have any plans with regard to these stations?

Are there any kinds of plans to develop the kinds of technologies the JSTARS offers

any confirmed source to claim if it is AEW or AESA radar onboard ZDK-03??
