China has refused any alternation or duplication of economic corridor and has made it clear to Pakistani authorities that only a single route was agreed upon between both the nations. For Pakistan's own interest, the recent debate over the route should end and efforts be made for quick completion of the route. Security was the primary prerequisite for the corridor route and it is hoped that both provincial as well as the federal governments will provide the necessary security. Chinese have spoken up for the first time after the claims from local politicians about the change in proposed economic corridor's route. Chinese authorities have made it clear that only single route was agreed and any change in this is out of question. While talking to journalists in non-formal meeting, an official from Chinese Embassy said that in the broader economic interest of Pakistan, the chatter should end. He hoped that considering the prevailing circumstances, all elements in Pakistani society would support getting this project through so that the country and locals be able to reap the benefits of this project.

Exactly...You see above Mansehra too which is predominately Hindko-Punjabi their are two routes as well
one going throw along side River Indus and in semi tribal lands above Besham (Kohistan) but their is second one as well By passing Kohistan alongside kunhar river with majority hindko populace Balakot, Naran, Kaghan...they intentionally avoiding Tribal lands as much as possible.

We need to develop area to the Western sides of Indus river. This is the largest area wise of Country, while population wise it is may be 20%. Develop this area, so that pressure is taken off from already congested Eastern parts of Country. It will also give us the strategic depth we need.

The corridor is not a military one and it bears nothing to be mentioned in terms of war.

If they want to mobilise troops there are plenty of other road connections.

The project is not closed it is just a change of plans which China has suggested.

You are mistaken...economic corridor is not a Marshall Plan type planning which commenced to develop war torn Europe.
