China plays down general's warning to India

If u notice the instances in the past, every time just before an Indian general/minister visits china or a border talk or joint exercise is about to happen some provocation like this happens from the chinese side and the entire atmosphere becomes one of a trust deficit. So the only solution in relationship with China is to always proceed with extreme caution no matter what the situation is.

They actually practice the Art of War as propounded by Sun Tzu while we dont. Psychological warfare not only supplements but often obviates the need for real war.

There are no coincidences with China. With such tightly controlled media it is unlikely that such utterances ' slipped ' out.

This is attempt to unhinge India prior to the visit of the Def Min - quite like the sledging cricketers do.

Its a veiled message which may not be acted upon but should not be taken lightly or ignored.

Or it could also be a power struggle between PLA and CCP. PLA seem getting too aggressive for CCP to handle.

My point was about the language used by the Indian media.

The general's comments could have been reported as "Chinese general urges caution" or "advocates caution to avoid misunderstandings".

Instead, they hyped it up as a do-or-dare warning.

Its country specific. With China one knows that everything that comes through the media is approved / filtered hence utterances like these are not coincidental.

Furthermore, such remarks made when the Indian Def Min is about to land shows an intent to ' sledge' or testing the waters.

Not to be taken lightly.

Or it could also be a power struggle between PLA and CCP. PLA seem getting too aggressive for CCP to handle.

Any which way , it cannot be ignored as it indicates an intent.

If the balloon goes up - what diff will it make to India if hostilities began due to an internal power struggle or otherwise.

was quoted as saying that ""India is the only country in the world that says that it is developing its military power because of China's military threat".
I think that is the objection. Statement that increase ill feelings between PEOPLE of the two countries is not conducive to good relation. I think naming another country as threat explicitly is considered escalation in diplomatic protocol.

The general told the truth。

India is indeed the only country in the world which keeps repeating the same boring message:

India does this and that because of China.

As if China gives a sh1t about what India does.

Nothing but crying babies who want attention.:azn:

There are millions of Indians who actually believe that China deploys along the Sino-Indian border 500,000 troops out of a total strength of 0.87 million men.

These people will never accept that hard fact that a number of frontiers regiments are enough to keep the Indians in check.

Only fools like the Indians would station hundreds of thousands of heavily armed personnels in a place as barren and high altitude as Tibet.

Indians are jingoistic, that's why they never progress. They have so many industries closed to foreign investment and they are extremely protectionist. Even when they do open up sectors, the local states don't open it up to foreigners. India still plays the victim card and deal with it through jingoism. Even in trade they worry about who likes India and who don't. Ultra nationalists in India borders on fascism. They need to move into the 21st century and stop their silly cow worshipping.

Thank You

When India & Indians need you advice we shall ask - till then carry on reading the Red Book.

The Indian Govt official said Indo-China is not in a rush to solve border disputes. :what: what does it mean?
