China Plans To Have 8 Type 055 Destroyers

Do you know all your ships and subs have Western engines in them?
No, we produce all our engines for our subs and ships...
We imported some technology with our money and hired some Ukrainians to work together with us to improve our technology, and have developed and produced lots of advanced engines, same as Americans hire talents from everywhere.

You have no clue about how much india is lagging behind in terms of technology, probably more than economy...
Here is the trade between india and China, you can see the difference:

Most of your engines are from Germany. They are license built in China.

Not true for gas turbines, such as QC-280, which has some Ukraine origin. But again, we pay the money and get the technology, build and improve them by ourselves and develop our own models. India, on the other hand, do not even know how to build these things, and have to import everything from the radar, missile, C4I, engine, etc. etc. everything....

BTW, our ship engines have been exported to Russia, and our "Yuan" class submarines use AIP system developed by the 711th Research Institute of the China Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Group Corp...

You are very wrong about our tech.

Also, your Yuan class sub uses a Kockums supplied AIP based on the Stirling cycle. You have only improved its design. Your QC-280 gas turbine is also basically a Ukranian engine. That "some" is what the entire engine is about.

I do not claim we invent these engines from the scratch, but the truth is we spend the money and now know how to build them and also to modify and improve them, and to develop our own models... but india basically import everything... The tech gap is actually more than the economic gap...

And you are sticking to ship engines, which we are also ahead of you by decades if you want to compare... But how about other fields??? Just name one field which india is ahead or on par with China... Do not say your "Mars mission"... It is a joke without the backup of NASA:

Plenty of fields. Only last year the IAF said we no longer need to import radars. We are on par with your BMD program. We are on par with China when it comes to direct ascent ASAT. Our nuclear tech is superior, for example the PFBR and our research in thorium reactors.

The difference between China and India is, we did start late, but we are on par or ahead in many areas with respect to our economy. India has more tech as a $3T economy than China did as a $3T economy. We import to surpass that gap, that's all.

Overall, whatever you are doing, we are also doing the same thing.

Such a delusional indian.... lol
No longer import radars??? Just because "the IAF said"... lol...
BMD program on par with China??? You don't even have a long range SAM like our HQ9...
empty claim without any support...
We shot down satellite light years ahead of you...

Your nuclear tech is superior to China??? LMAO...
Our 4th Gen nuclear reactor is already in operational... Our man made sun is also running...
PFBR???
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/China_Experimental_Fast_Reactor
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fast-neutron_reactor
OUR fast reactor has been running for a decade....

When talk about nuclear technology... You are a small little baby in front of China
You really have no clue about your position....

The opposite.

In about 5 years, you will know a lot about what's happening now.
LCA Mk 2 has US engine to say the least.

And 5 years from now you think India will have 6+ aircraft projects running? LCA project started in 1984 and it's still not completed.

Yes, we do. We just haven't revealed it yet.

We shot down satellite light years ahead of you...

Our scientists said we could have done the same after China did, but political leaders did not allow it then.

PFBR???

Google FBR and thorium reactors. Yes, we also have fusion reactor plans.

http://www.bbc.com/future/story/20181016-why-india-wants-to-turn-its-beaches-into-nuclear-fuel

Also, google Advanced Heavy Water Reactor. China is still many years away from this.

As for a fusion reactor, we have had one since 2013.

  • Former IPR Director D Bora told the publication how the SST-1 achievements had brought India at par with China and South Korea as one of the eight participants in the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER).

LCA Mk 2 has US engine to say the least.

That's fine. It has been designed for a proven engine. We have plans for our own engine for future projects.

And 5 years from now you think India will have 6+ aircraft projects running?

Perhaps more.

This is the list of ones going on right now. All indigenous.
LCA Mk1A
MWF
AMCA
MSA
ISRO spaceplane - already started many years ago
DRDO spaceplane - will start this year

That's 6 for fixed wing aircraft alone.

5 years down the line some of these could be in various stages of testing and induction.

Apart from that there's a number of civilian projects like Nishant, RTA etc. A number of UAVs, UCAVs and helicopters are also in development, all indigenous stuff.

LCA project started in 1984 and it's still not completed.

LCA project officially completed in January this year. That's why there's the new Mk2 now.

Again, all empty claims here...
Your fusion reactor has nothing comparable to ours...
FBR??? I already showed you: our FBR is active for a decade, while yours are still under construction...
thorium reactors??? Typical me vs Bill gates comparison:
Me vs Bill Gates
Cooking Skill 1 - 0 Bill Gates
Daily expenses budget Me 2 - 0 Bill Gates
Wealth Me 2 -1 Bill Gates
Risk of Kidnap Me (low) 3 -1 Bill Gates (very high)
Potential (Me veri young) 4 -1 Bill Gates (very old)
Pollution (Me use MRT only - veri low) 5 -1 Bill Gates (use car, private jet & copper - very high)
Results Me 5 - 1 Bill Gates

How is China able to build latest tech. nuclear reactors around the world, even building a new generation £20bn reactor in Britain, and India is still asking the Russians and US to build their own reactors in India. If you're going to boast, please boast a little more convincingly.

On par or ahead in what? Please name a few.

What is the overal picture? I'm fascinated to know.

That was funny. :yahoo:

You see, that's the whole problem! :partay:

India struggles to match China as elite world weapons exporter

Before you say it, it's from Indian paper.

@Kai Liu @randomradio
It is really a struggle... lol...

But india is definitely the "elite world weapons importer", and actually it is the champion...
also by their own newspaper:
