The initial Japanese name was a direct translation after the Chinese "diaoyu", only later changed to after the British name. The funny thing is that Japanese on one hand insists to get Northern islands back from Russia, on the other hand, want Diaoyu island from China, you got to give up one for consistency.

Where did you get that 1/3 number? Boy I'd imagine Tibet is full or white bones. And do you have any idea where China tests Nuclear weapon? Please look it up.

the fact is, the inhabitants of tibet do NOT want chinese rule.. thats a fact... and they are the original inhabitants of the area true?? now if muslims went in there, inhabited the country for 100 years then wanted to claim independence , i would disagree with that and would be on china's side!!!

i also disagree with ethnic albanians being handed kosovo.. it is serbian territory, they just moved there for a hundred years or so.

Too bad China was the one of the few nations who supported Serbia's sovereignty over Kosovo, while your buddy USA just splitted the entire Kosovo region from Serbia.

If you are an Aussie of Serbian descent or a Serb sympathizer, then you should feel shamed of having a such ungrateful behavior towards China as a long time Serb supporter.

i am not serb or serb sympathiser... i think malosovich was stupid and went too hard too fast..

i disagree with the outcome, albanians have little or no cultural heritage to the area.. and have only been there a short amount of time... it is serbian lands..

and regardless of my opinion on that issue... i do not and should not have to feel ashamed or be seen as ungrateful to china because china was a serbian supporter... it is just a matter i agree with china on..no more, no less

really?? what about okinawa?? they even have airport and big population there? lol they do most certainly have sovereignty over ryuku islands....

and if you look at the map , they are not far from senkaku islands, and are on the same continental shelf as senkaku islands .. moreso then even taiwan..

sea routes used is japanese missions to tang china.. explicitly show them using the ryuku islands in the 8th century lol

Some don't, otherwise you won't just see monks stirring things up. Anyway, these facts have nothing to do with how modern nation boundaries are drawn, otherwise the world will become very chaotic. We'll end up endless debate on who's here or there first.
