What's new

China, India may come closer if Modi becomes PM: Chinese daily

What does business have to do with trust? You know Japan is one of our largest trading partners?

We are offering to finance Indian infrastructure to the tune of $300 billion, in non-sensitive sectors only. If you don't like it, then reject the offer (like Congress always does) and find investment elsewhere. Business is business, if you don't like it, we will simply have to find somewhere else to invest in.

Getting chummy with your Brother's Enemy !

How could you ? :cray:

There could be a day when the Brother's enemy could be chummy with the enemy of the brother's enemy.

That sounds more like a tongue twister than a coherent thought ! :sarcastic:

Armstrongggggg.

Just kidding. :P

Anyway, it's an interconnected world, and I'm sure you will understand that we do business with everyone. Even with our major rivals like America and Japan.

I know and I support it; if the Indians hadn't such a restrictive and regressive trading regime in place, I'd advocate greater Indo-Pak trade too - Now lets wait and see whether they go for some trade liberalization as well so that we don't find an Importing Partner in India but a Trading Partner instead. :)

But greater interaction and interconnectivity is a long-shot - Indians never say what they mean and never mean what they say ! :D

I suppose they feel the same way about us !

It's funny, India announced they needed massive investment for their huge infrastructure plan, then China comes and offers to finance 30% of it, more than the rest put together. In "non-sensitive" sectors too, so there is no risk to national security.

And Congress rejects it. Again and again, they keep rejecting it.

So strange. Those guys are more socialist than we were back in the 1950's.

*** That shows how coherent your thoughts are actually :)

Well, the same could be said of you guys . You guys give us bonus in the form of 26/11s :) Rewind your tapes and see the status of MFN pre attacks.

I like Socialism ! :ashamed:

I don't think its Socialism; its the bull-crap that gets at me - Whats the point of harping about the MFN Status you gave us 10 years ago when you're not practicing the Free-Trade the MFN Status embodies !

Come again ?

What status of MFN pre-attacks ? The one you gave us in the '90s wasn't worth a roll of toilet paper because of the Non-Tariff barriers you've erected !

Not likely since Modi has the perennial " FOOT IN THE MOUTH DISEASE " and it won't be long before he says something belligerent to piss off China.

Exactly - practising FT comes with some trust. What's the use of talking trade when you guys have clandestine operatives blowing up anti-India rhetoric and quite literally, blowing up anything that's Indian that suits you? Calling us untrustworthy is one thing. To be seen as the "most untrustworthy" is an honor that belongs to Pakistan .

We have more important things to do, we need to bring our economy back on track, we need to provide for the basic necessities like education, health, etc. to all, we need to improve our infrastructure, we need to focus on manufacturing industries, we need to reduce our trade deficits, we also need to strengthen our defences and improve our indigenous defence capabilities, meanwhile, we should also look forward to improve relations with China, but we should not be over-enthusiastic about it. And we don't want uncomfortable relationship with anybody, but that doesn't mean that we shouldn't be firm whenever required.

All those Hindi - Chini Bhai Bhai types get ready to be scuppered once again. Fact is self interest is best interest. China sells weapons to Pakistan, makes our lives miserable, floods our markets with cheap shit that our domestic producers can't match in cost or quantity, we suffer. Hence if Modi takes the bull by the horns and fights back, he has my respect.

What is of worth in Pakistan that you can offer India? Mangoes which we are No.1 in?

Pakistanis are not afraid , they are delighted at the prospects of MODI being the PM.

Under Modi , India will finally SELF DESTRUCT without us even lifting a finger.

Are you KIDDING me ?:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Hehe, you have never served a day in your life. Does pretending to be an airman make you feel tough on the internet?
