Professor Hu Bingcheng from NUT lead a team use a revoluationary new compostion of nitrogen-based materials to build the world most powerful non-nuclear bomb.

The energy density of this new nitrogen-based bomb has a energy density of at the level of magitude of 10^4 to 10^5 J per gram, which is 100x of TNT.

This N5- based bomb is the world first of this kind, and it is a breakingthrough since 1890 when human create N- ion.:enjoy:

The N5- negative ion can remain stable under 116.8 degree C.

Just imagining how huge a hole will be, if China install this powder on the warhead of some antiship ballastic missiles and drop it on some poor enemy's warships...:enjoy:

It will give the warhead a yielding of 200 ton TNT, which is at the realm of mini-nuke:lol:

If I remember correctly, 1 gram of TNT have an explosive energy of 4100 J, so if this has 10,000 J explosive energy, then it is about 2x, not 100x of the explosive power of TNT, which is on par with modern explosive such as PETN based Semtex and HMX based plastic explosive

CL-20 has a REF of roughly 1.8, which implies that it is not the same compound as the one described in the original post (which would have a theoretical REF of 2.5 if the translation and interpretation are correct). CL-20 initiated production in China in 2011 (source: http://www.bit.edu.cn/xww/lgxb21/123905.htm).

Well, the orignal article dont give out a specific number, it is given a magitude, which is between 10^4 to 10^5 J per gram depend on conditions, I simply quote a more conservative number, whilst TNT's energy density is at a magitude of 10^3 J per gram.

Even with 10^5 J it's still only roughly 25 times of TNT power, not x100

Also, there are already exist Mercury based liquid explosive reaches 100KJ/g

Well, it is at a magitude of 10^5 J/g, whilst 100,000 J/g is the lower limit of 10^5 and 999,999 J/g is the upper limit.

TNT's energy density is at the magitude of 10^3 J/g

Great discovery but we are not seeing any mainstream media highlighting this discovery. Is this discovery ready for commercial production or still in lebratory.
