I live in the UK and, sadly, the very little Chinese news you get on Western media are always negative and derisive. Western mainstream media has cultivated an extremely toxic and dark outlook of Chinese culture. Most Westerners, due to their lack of exposure to real Chinese culture and news, will gladly lap up the anti-China and China is evil narrative, as that is the only viewpoint they have ever been shown. China needs a lot more English language news/media portal to get out to the World, China's version of reality, rather than the bleak picture always painted by Western mainstream media.
