early Block I => current Block II => future Block III (if enough fund), both AB Block I and Block II (60x) serve in U.S.S

China 052 class DDG:
prototype 052B(only 2x) => early 052C (6x) => current 052D => future 052E (if CSSC design), 052B、052C and 052D serve in PLAN.

If China only build 12x 052D, it means will build more 055 DDGs or there will be improve version 052E.

There will be no Type 052E, since the platform of the Type 052 series is limited.

While the futuristic warships always require a larger platform, so the Type 055 series will eventually become as numerous as the Arleigh Burke class.

Never say impossible, my favorite 052E DDG. Just change 052 shipbuilding layout not change shipbody, CSSC can update 052E or 052E remove helicopter cabin adding 100x vls as specific air-defence DDG for PLAN A.C Strick Fleet.

Of course also update 052E's power system.

052 DDG is a mature platform, it's a long time that CSSC won't abandon it, will update to 052E.

According to China current technology & equipments, 052D is the best DDG China can build but 64x vls still less and single anti-sub helicopter. 052D need new powerful power system to carry 90x vls missiles.

When China improve Phased Array Radar/ Power system / Weapons system , 052 also will update from Block II (052D) => Block III (052E) in the future.

China's ship building need to sped up. It's too slow for the needs of China. This is why more naval ship yards need to be built to build as many of the Type 052D/E, Type 055/A, Type 057, Type 056/A as possible.

Chinese military budget is too low. More money need to be spent on military.
