Here's an article about Chinese shipments of gas to relieve the shortage in Japan. The shipment is estimated at 300 million yuan.

China sends 20,000 tons of fuel

BEIJING (Kyodo) A Chinese tanker carrying 10,000 tons of gasoline and 10,000 tons of heavy oil for disaster relief headed to Japan on Tuesday, the official Xinhua news agency said.

The ship departed from Dalian and is scheduled to arrive in Hiroshima Prefecture on Friday and continue on to Ehime Prefecture on Saturday.

China announced March 16 it was donating 20,000 tons of fuel to Japan, but Chinese Ambassador Cheng Yonghua said Tuesday it took more than 10 days to make arrangements with Japanese authorities on where and how to deliver the supplies.

When natural disasters happen, all politics should step aside. Human lives comes first!

Where is Japan, US and EU during the Sichuan earthquake which had claimed 300,000 lives including 100,000 children? Japan and the West were busy conducting massive military exercises off the Chinese coast and busy bullying and discrediting the then forthcoming Beijing Olympics. Also no western media coverage and aid for the recent earthquakes which have hit China. This is the reality, China sincerely helps its neighbours-even if Japan had committed massive Chinese civilians killings and atrocities in World War II and never apologizes for same-in case of natural and man made disasters but there is no reciprocity. If China faces same natural and man made disasters, the West and Japan are prompt to bully and discredit China or else just ignore the Chinese sufferings.
