Indian response is nothing new. Indian army has been rolling down from Himalayan slopes like pandas, giving away thousands of sq km of territory to PLA all these years. This is another incident of "salami slicing" doctrine PLA has employed against IA.

Nepalese extending their territory into Indian claimed area and now this, it's all part of grand strategy. It seems Indian establishment is fully focused, both in terms of men and resources on Pakistani border, while exposing their rear end for China and Nepal to enjoy. India is not interested in conflict with China....too much risk of defeat. It is psychologically obsessed with conflict with Pakistan for many reasons. A smaller weaker opponent is preferred plus the psychological baggage of partition and the previous Indo-Pak conflicts.
