CHINA BOOSTS MILITARY AND TECHNICAL COOPERATION WITH PAKISTAN AND BANGLADESH

It would make sense that BD has access to J-10CE as this was made to replace the J-7 in service.

So it wouldn’t be shocking if BD picks up a few.

China definitely has far more sophisticated things in the pipeline for them to even entertain exporting anything.

But again circumstances are changing.

China seems to be able to produce far more sophisticated and capable systems than in years past.

So export control may become an issue.

This is all conjecture on my part of course.

It may be because that you live in US for too long so that you have opinion...:o:

China is not like US having a troublesome congress to put so many restrictions on export. Also, we welcome every customer showing interest to our weapons as long as you don't support Taiwan which is our only bottom line.

China is the craziest seller daring to sell anything :o::o::o::
----Saudis bought strategical ballistic missiles from us
----Pakistan got help about nuclear tech from us
----Ghaddafi's Libya got technical materials of nuke from us
----NK bought advanced carrier vehicles for their nukes
----Iraq, Iran, Egypt bought strategic bombers (H-6) from us

Comparing to those listed above you should know that some frigates are nothing worth a restrictiono_O
So, I don't see a real bottom line for our weapon export as long as you are our friend:p:

BD is a traditional friend and weapon buyer of China so I don't see any restriction will be put on, and what you should care about is India's intervention.

I’ll take it!

Hopefully this is the case and Bangladesh can acquire some nice DF-12 and associated technology soon.

BD has no need for DF-12 as it is thinking of buying the 300km Turkish T-300A Kasirga. That is much cheaper to hit targets than launching a whole ballistic missile.

From my point BD needs to sign for the following from China asap:

1. J-10CE(2-3 squadrons) and 4-5 KJ-500 AWACS
2. Partnership with Chinese yard to design and build next-gen frigate - may as well keep this to 6-8 vessels as BD can always in 5 years then sign with Turkey to partner for more vessels after 2030.

Are you seriously?

The J-10CE would need a command and control platform and KJ-500 would be perfect for this.

Biggest real-threat to BD is India and China is the supplier of choice to deter them.

BD gets reliable supplier and China gets billions of US dollars in hard cash.

Have you considered the feelings of India?

Did BD care when it brought the 2 Ming-class subs?
Did BD care when it brought 18 of the 120km Turkish Kasirga T-300B MLRS?

But J-10CE + KJ-500 is a completely different one...

BD is now in discussions for the 300km range Turkish Kasirga T-300A MLRS - this is not for Myanmar but clearly India.

BD has money now and if China willing to sell it can earn lots of money from BD over the next 10 years.

T-300 has a range of about 100km no?

DF-12 280km....

The version that BD brought(T-300B) can actually go up to 120km - a lot of reports also say 100km and there is reason for the two figures but I do not know the technicalities unfortunately.
BD is considering the 300km T-300A.
