Regardless of all the rhetoric by Indophobes, the fact of the matter is China is not going to build the road, which was our primary qualm to begin with, who cares if you chinese patrol the Dolam area, china did that before as well and everyone knew about it and we all know rock paintings and posturing by chinese troops posed ZERO threats.

After all that crying and moaning about using Kashmir as proxy, about fighting in other parts of the LAC and all those artillery excercises, CHINA COULDN'T DO ZILCH.

Chinese patrolling the Doklam area can simply mean patrolling the borders with the Doklam area. Statement that can be interpreted in a variety of ways are typical of them anyway. Statements is what they've been doing from day one anyway.

Patroling means you own the area?
Building roads on that area means you own that area, but you don't get to do that now do you?
Regardless of how you try to spin it, its disputed territory, and china wanted to change the status quo and we didn't allow you.

Indian objective was to not let China build a road, objective achieved, hence an Indian victory.
Chinese victory would have been China successfully building the roads, by force thru a two front war on India like china continously threatened.

yeah, just like 1967 India victory in Cho La. Or India to become a super power in 2012.
