Think of it as a last ditch effort so that we may not have to spend on inducting / training / securing weapons for an entirely new platform.

why trump has called IK for a meeting?
the reasons could be:
1. US wants pak support against iran like the one musharraf provided to them after 9/11. logistics, bases etc.
2. US exit from afg and post exit situation.
the sudden change in trump's attitude towards pak is astonishing. most likely something is cooking for iran and if pak works for US only then they will be provided with F-16s. pak shouldn't be US bitch in this case ans stay neutral.

The only plausible immediate outcome might be release of Zulu Cobras.Re the 16s, PAF will certainly give it a go but at full price is it affordable for us to buy a sanctionable platform with no older upgradable platforms. Even upgrade kits were 20 million a pop so do we really need those or will we get those? It might be a bridge too far.

All depends on US congress which is in the Indian pockets.
