Chabahar port plan on fast-track

If you think TAPI is dead thats your call but it already has funding in place from ADB and Russia and USA fully support it.

Funding? Which funding? Not even an engineering design for such a project exists let alone a centimeter of actual pipe. By funding you mean funding for fancy political conferences around it discussing if it is possible to start a feasibility study for it. That is the only funding which has been allocated to it. There is no funding for the actual pipe.

Such a large project requires $$ thats why Pakistan can't provide its share of IPI it needs outside help but it will not get it due to US pressure.

You never heard of insurance and this report is from Pakistani paper Dawn by the way the Taliban are no saints they take bribes believe it or not

Yeah they take bribes, that doesn't mean they will not attack you, i hope you don't think Talibans are little angels who will take bribes and never come back Lol. At least you should learn from the mistakes of your own long time ally Russia, when USSR invaded Afghanistan they would pay the resistance fighters to stop attacking their convoys, but instead those guys would turn up when the Russians least expected them and would massacre the convoys coming from and headed to Kabul.
Thing is, you can't buy an Afghans honor which is his independence, they value their honor more than $$, which is what the US is learning now. NATO thought that by applying the same strategy they used in Iraq by paying off insurgent groups and convincing them to stop fighting they could do the same in Afghanistan but sadly that has not turned out to be true. They don't care who you are, even if your a Muslim, if your on their land against their consent then be prepared to face the wrath.

Ever heard of the Northen alliance? and if the pipeline passes through Afghanistan they get $$ in transit fees and not to mention Afghanistan is in need of gas also thats why its called TAPI.

TAPI deals nudge pipeline nearer reality

The pipeline would carry 33 billion cubic meters per year (bcm/y) of gas, and the approximately $7.6 billion cost would be one-third financed by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), which is willing to provide a large part of Pakistan's equity in the project. The country desperately need to import energy to satisfy growing domestic demand.

Wrong. Pipe line has to pass through south of Afghanistan which is Taliban infested and if Taliban can attack and kill an ex-president then they surely can blow up a pipe anywhere in that war wrecked country. Only India is ready to put its energy security in the hands of Taliban. Maybe because they have reached some "strategic" understanding with them. But Pakistan can not trust them. Besides TAPI gas is more expensive than IPI. TAPI is dead.

And what will the Northern Alliance do? Unless your implying that india will "bribe" them to protect the pipeline? Now lets just consider for a moment that they do protect the pipeline, but then they can only manage it as far as their sphere of influence, eventually the pipeline will enter Taliban territory before it enters Pakistan (TAPI).

Everything is a risk so is IPI due to BLA but the Taliban can be made to see it is not in the benefit to blow up a pipeline which will aid Afghanistan and provide them transit fees..

Only time will tell what will happen but IPI does not have backing from the big powers like Russia and USA and is sanction prone.

BLA is not a risk. Already thousands of kilometers of gas pipe lines exist in BLA areas and almost all of Pakistan's gas is coming from areas through which IPI is to pass. No even a single gas disruption has occurred due to gas pipe lines being exploded up. By the way your attempt to compare Pakistan's security situation to that of Taliban controlled areas in Afghanistan is pathetic.

But there's a big difference, IPP ('Iran Pakistan Pipeline' since india backed out) will start in Iran and will end in Pakistan, basically it will go through our own territory which we can manage to control, and since the BLA has lost a lot of support which is why they have entered into negotiations with the local government, not a problem at all since Iran has increased security on their side of the border and so have we, both Iran and Pakistan are on the same level, we help them capture Jundallah terrorists, they help us keep a check on BLA, but that is not the case with india, Northern Alliance, Taliban, Pakistan, and other factions who have conflicting interests in the regions through which TAPI will pass through.

TAPI will have to go through areas of conflicting interests, war, and insecurity. If your going to support Northern Alliance than what makes you think you can reason with Taliban? And same applies the other way around.

IPP doesn't need the backing of big powers since its only between Iran and Pakistan. Iran and Pakistan already have energy related deals that are either completed or going on even without the "backing" of the big powers

Separatists attack main gas pipelines again – The Express Tribune

IPI is not as safe as you make out yes it goes through Pakistan but balochistan poses a big secruity risk.

Who is going to fund IPI? US has already said it could impose sanctions on companies doing business with Iran so which firm will take this risk?

That article you posted is from February, not very recent, considering that BLA now wants to negotiate with the Government because they have lost support and their supply lines limited neither do they have the man power.
‘Baloch separatists willing to talk peace’

Its too late for sanctions, the deal has already been given approval long time ago and there is no turning back now, what the US or anyone else has to say won't change Pakistan's decision, either the US gives Pakistan similar nuclear deal as it has given india, or Pakistan will continue to pursue this pipeline with Iran.

Further more, IPI is going to be underground and will be monitored electronically by military posts all along it. It is going to be safest pipe line in the region. India should not get jealous. If Indians ever need, gas, once they realize TAPI is dead, all they have to do is ask Pakistan for a connection. We are so magnanimous.
