Can we clone a woolly mammoth? Should we?

Yes, but cloning isn't necessary for them, breeding in the wild, with protection is enough.

the story of cats in india is very sad... they are almost extinct... leopards are being killed by idiotic villagers and dogs, and the small cats are being killed in cities by the dogs bred by the indian masses... i have raised cats myself... raised them as my children... all now killed.

well, if you let the dogs in your house outside, they will immediately gang up with the street dogs, and chase any cat they see and try to kill them... i don't ever want to hear the twenty minutes of torture the dogs give to a trapped cat... and the cat is the bravest being in the universe... they fight to the death.

you must come to bangalore... has the highest number of dogs of any city/town in the world... within houses and on the street... they have killed people... torn them alive... that is how dogs kill.

I read a report there are 40 dog bite cases daily in Karachi. Was it Karachi or Pakistan, don't remember. But it was published in dawn.

It brings us to another topic. Wild animals on the streets. One of those cows always walking in Lucknow nearly gored one of my nana's (not direct). They should put the cows, cattle, buffalos and dogs in a pen. I don't know why this does not happen. I know animal rights are a big proponent of Indian religion. But is it written anywhere in Hindu scripture that the animals should be walking free on the roads, or in narrow gullies barely large enough to hold one animal.

Our house in Lucknow also has a problem with monkeys. Damn creatures climb up roof tops and invade kitchens. My cousins nearly shot at one and its mother nearly tore him apart.

What can be done, should be done, its like a ladder to somewhere.

I promote sterilizing the animals in the street, be it dogs, or cows or leopards.

forty daily?? why don't karachi people form "dog hunter" militias like they have formed in russia... ( TASS: Russia - State Duma offers to sentence dog hunters to up to 3 years in prison )... it will be easier in pakistan... no "animal rights activists", whose concern is only saving dogs.

indian newspapers woke up in 2007 too see how dangerous dogs are... dogs have increased in india after maneka gandhi became environment minister in the bjp government of 1998... and now dogs can kill people and the few thousand remaining cats, with every allowance, yet dogs cannot be killed.

sterilize leopards?? haraam, haraam, haraam... leopards are now in their few hundreds in india... maybe less than 150... they should breed as much as nature allows... idiot villagers should be moved away.

i recommend shooting dogs... i volunteer for that duty.
