Can Pakistan successfully build Engines for Tanks and Jet Fighters?

We need to take the first step and start making parts and take it from there. Its a mindset that we can't do it or it will take 10-15 years. It may be the case that it takes time but nothing is stopping us from making a start. Sooner we make a start journey to mastering the technology will get shorter.

With the help of Ukraine, Turkey, China & even Italy, yes Pakistan can. All the upgrades for POF & HIT is done for a reason & Pakistan is surely eyeing for making engines in near future.

There has been a lot of tech know how sharing going on behind the curtains for Ukrainian Engines and there is a group of observers for testing the performance in various Pakistani terrains as well.

However if Pakistan keeps getting closer to Russia, that might be a problem with the new UA regime.

I don't agree
Making an engine is not that hard and Pakistan has the R&D to do that actually

What you lack is funding ...
Yes this is hard. We can't even make railway engines. We should start from basics, It will take decades to mature in this field with enough funds

Then why has China been struggling?

China is only struggling in high by pass turbofan. From ship gas propulsion turbine to full automatic transmission 1500HP tank engine. We are making our own with intellectual property.

But developing propulsion system require huge funds which only big countries can afford. They are double digit billion dollar investment.

There is very little know how of metallurgy and materials. Making car engines is a high tech thing in Pakistan. So we need to develop expertise in many department.

With the limited cash available ToT is not feasible. Even if do take this approach which country will be willing to share the knowledge ?

and then even if we do get the required knowledge will it be feasible ?? How many engines Pakistan is going to produce ?? Exports will be vital if such a program is initiated.

Now for exports our engine has to be good as American, Russian and European. This again will need a lot of resource.

It is simply not feasible or logical for us to trouble ourselves with such a program.

Yes tank engine may be possible though only under license such as from ukraine, only if they are willing so
Pakistan must put all its efforts, resources and use influences to establish infrastructure to produce WS-13 under licence within country and not delay or waste the present golden apportunity.

Maybe it's just a matter of time.

Yes, they are sophisticated and complicated.
But as a good start, cooperating with the producers, assemble some of them locally along with Pakistan purchase orders.
At least, this will make maintenance cost lower and train her own engineers for the next step.

I dont know why some people think Engine and Transmission are some high tech things, and Pakistan must make to prove something.

We can build them under licence locally, like what Sweden does.

They are! Not much countries can independently development high power engine transmission for tanks, ships and aircraft.
