I won't mind seeing Indian states becoming independent from the central government and becoming sovereign. Perhaps subcontinent would become a peaceful place then.

If wishes were wings, even donkeys could fly.

You clearly need to learn about India first before look into others. especially about Pakistan or China from Indian sources.

I know a lot about China, a united China a gift of Western powers against the imperial Japan. ;)

.
I'm not uncomfortable. Its just like China is a popular topic to serve as a distraction for many Indian members here. But this thread is about India, not any other country, including US and China.

As for countries divided in the past, it would make sense when the countries was recognized by itself as a country. For example, if all the EU countries come together and form a country, they cannot say that EU was always a country and they just happened to be separated for most of history except when the Romans, Charlemagne, Napoleon and Hitler united most of the EU country. So we cannot said that India was a country prior to the British as it was a civilization just like western Europe and divided into many pieces with constant shifting border like medieval Europe.

Yes, I agree. Subcontinent consisted of 100s of kingdoms, till the British came, put them in the same basket and called it British India. Some people did not recognize the legitimacy of this artificial British India then, and they do not believe in its legitimacy now, thus you see so many separatist movements in India fighting for their freedom from the remains of British India, known as India now.

For them, they never got their independence when the British left, and the British legacy still continues today in the form of India...

Indian government still uses the same British protocol to prevent rebellion, just like the British.

.
The report is made by a group in azerbaijan not by the narrator himself, they obvious still think manchuria is a state that exists trying to secede from China proper.

Pretty much throws out any credibility they had to begin with.

The country who once had two wings and the name invented in Cambridge university dormitory is certainly the most authentic country in the world.:rofl: No, that legacy is Pakistan not India, the new nation could not survive for 25 years after British left and still having separatist movements and uncertain future.

Both Pakistan and India are carve out of British India. And both countries face some separatist movements. Why make fun of others when you face the same situation and come from the same background of British imperialism.

True, since two Chinas exists today( PRC and ROC) and some provinces of mainland China also facing separatist movement and modern China was the gift of western powers (taken from the Japanese).

Most chinese who live outside of China consider themselves as citizens of ROC even today.

Pakistan and east Bangladesh were among the fortunate countries which got their independence from the British India and its lingering legacy known as India, however, many states were not fortunate and still remain trapped there...

Pakistan is a name given to the land by its people, while India, is what British named their artificially manufactured colonial design.

considering where we were 65 years ago and how much have we progressed specially in last two decades it is much possible 4 or 5 decades down the line

India name was given to this land by Greeks not Britishers while this land has been known by natives as Bharat or Hindustan
