Call Centre Drug Addicts

One positive thing to take away from the article( which was written with good intentions, no doubt) is that there is a effort to recognize the stress and do something about it.
In the end we are a country of low-skilled workers, china has massively invested in manufacturing to make that population productive, we should do the same too so that more people have choice of job.

Instead of wasting time and space, you should have just clicked on the link........Not my intuitive or some Pakistani source.!!
Hence, there must be a reason the news appeared in a highly respected English broadsheet..... I didn't even need to add a POV to the article.

Thanks for the reply, so going by your logic will you be posting each and every news posted on that so called respected English broadsheet..will you? I just wanted to know why did you selected only this news to be posted here why not other..and that's what I asked in my first post, but rather then replying to my post with due respect (to which i am entitled to) you are cutting the corners and please stop worrying about my time and space on the server none of your business.

How did you knew that he was calling from Kolkatta.

because my colleague (the techy chap) asked him and he told us. Wouldnt give us a number to call back - if you pm me i will see if we can get any further details about it.

yes, u are right, there is a good reason for that.......call center workers work at night instead of day at hence their bodies have problems in adapting to unnatural schedules.....the study never blames indian conditions for their problems........this is very natural and can be found in all work groups who work at night........but trolls like u somehow always find a way to steer it in a completely different direction....

What are you going on about? Its a huge problem in the UK hence there is an article in the papers because people in the UK are on the receiving end of the callers. I think you are getting a bit hot under the collar and being patriotic. Lets accept there is a problem sometimes and move on. Dont shot the messenger.

well its not a problem for us indians, so we really don't care....

Is that why you are on here? coz you dont care and commenting?? :azn:

Come on stop taking it personally - its only an article - do you think every single call center is like this? Give it a break - nobody is saying that

The problem people of UK face is due to outgoing calls from "call centers" not "Indian call centers". Companies in the UK pay to Indian companies, share the information. Calls are made from India because it is cheaper.

That issue is completely different(as call center being in india is just incidental) from health related issues of call center employees in India.

Likewise i could be blunt and say, none of your business as to what i post, but since you are new and trying to run before you can walk........ however, in case you haven't noticed, albeit PDF is a Pakistani forum site but it has more Indian members than the home crowd, hence majority of the topics posted/discussed/debated and argued over are in relevance to the two countries. With deficit of trust and sub continent's media frenzy, third party source thus is considered more neutral and credible.
Now let me ask you, were you aware of the subject dilemma before it appeared on the forum.?? !!

this is the height of hypocrisy....u guys now say that third party sources are most neutral.....but when someone posts a US study targetting pakistan, u guys say that US is our enemy thats why it has published a research against us.....nothing can be done for u.....

Nonsense.... the subject here is a social issue... highlighted many times.....we are not talking about a country falling flat on it's face.....same mantra we been hearing for over a decade. Get your priorities right. !!

Ah...since you are prone to wash the soap before your hands, did you even bother to check the link which i posted. ??
Picture was part of the article.....no big deal....our former Air Chief's image also appeared elsewhere.:azn:

So did our Punjab Police's logo ;)

and I never said, you screwed up.. It could be the 3rd rate site you posted your article from.. But then that makes you a viewer of a 3rd rate site :azn:

I believe you were quite blunt, in your reply asking me to mind my time and space and top of that being blunt is not related to anybody's experience here (no offence) i said what i felt right and I believe you did the same, so what wrong I did in asking you a question as to why did you selected this topic, you being a experienced person would have clarified it then and there, but no there is some prejudice which is holding you back from answering my question and now you are calling me like "run and walk" syndrome patient. if you have started a thread asking questions about some problems (though its none of an issue here, part and parcel of the industry) in India then be ready to answer few question too.

Yes sir, to be quite honest I was and I am aware of this subject, its no issue here as it has been created in PDF moreover call centers(BPO) are getting phased out KPOs are taking there place with a parallel "software industry" both product and services.
and in the coming years with the help of new and budding entrepreneurs in India you will see a lot of activity in Manufacturing sector too.

Hope I made my point.
