Call Centre Drug Addicts

In first place whats your point starting this thread, is Pakistan jealous of these jobs going to India? will given an opportunity will Pakistani youth leave these job offers?
moreover, nobody is forcing youth of india to take these jobs, so one should be mature enough to handle the pressure, as this is the nature of these kind of jobs, you can't serve ,in services industry according to your will, its the client who matters most.
so if some day suppose (god forbid) some untoward incident happens due to extra work load in Maruti-Suzuki in India will you start a new thread questioning the same point of view.

And as our domestic market gets developed in the coming years we will be reaping the benefits of all these so called "cheap jobs" infrastructure and experience.

Its not like they were getting exploited, they are getting paid handsomely.
Instead of wasting time and space, you should have just clicked on the link........Not my intuitive or some Pakistani source.!!
Hence, there must be a reason the news appeared in a highly respected English broadsheet..... I didn't even need to add a POV to the article.
 
I am ok with Call Centers as long as they are creating jobs.Having something is better than nothing.

The Indian IT Industry is a different story though.Its World class.

yes, u are right, there is a good reason for that.......call center workers work at night instead of day at hence their bodies have problems in adapting to unnatural schedules.....the study never blames indian conditions for their problems........this is very natural and can be found in all work groups who work at night........but trolls like u somehow always find a way to steer it in a completely different direction....

Dont stereotype Call centers jobs as low end... A most basic, entry level call center job in India in a decent company like Convergys, Genpact or WNS pays US$ 6K per annum. Thats almost 5 times the per capita income of India and even more for Pakistan.. Thats the problem in the subcontinent, we do not have dignity of labor and start counting jobs as beneath us.. These same Pakistani members would have had no problems flipping burgers in USA or UK to make some decent pocket money as school kids, but would love to deride a hard working 20 + year old working in a call center, just because he is an Indian.. Pathetic..

There have been cases of call centre workers committing suicides.

There have been cases of people working in Armed forces, senior executive level jobs etc committing suicides as well..

yea very true..I dont hope this thread will ever change their mind set for calling spade a spade. why they (most of PK members, except few ones) are feared of doing any appreciation of any good work any good progress made in India. I would like to get their viewpoint on this though.

I would rather have the call center jobs so that some people get a foot on the job ladder.
There is lot of pressure in low tech jobs, but then the call center workers would have done hard labour if there was no call center.

Many of them are from poor background, who need money to go for higher studies. Many of them do succeed.

Suicide due to work pressure in call center is much better than suicide due to lack of job.

One has to be able to comprehend the difference between battle/deployment fatigue and having to face stress of daily abuse....one may be reported in local media, the other makes International headlines.

they don't have a working there, there families don't have any problems????? then why the hell are u so concerned???
