What's new

by God, I’ll give my life to you. I’m a Pathan : Adnan Sami on being a proud Indian

.
I’m speaking openly about my own experiences.

Anyway, let’s get back on topic.

Your experience and observations means nothing or represent anything other than your behaviour towards those things.
As a nation we need to get over this laziest form of racism/ ethnocentrism.

Janab, you don’t know me very well.

I can speak Urdu, Punjabi, and some Pukhto and Hindko. Believe me I am anything but that.

I have been all around Pakistan several times and love all my people from everywhere. I am most at home in the pleasant village life found throughout our country.

Now if you found my statement about secular liberals offensive, I can’t do anything about that as that is my view of what is corrupting our society, esp upper/middle classes of Lahore, Islamabad, and Karachi.

Classic liberalism as we knew it is pretty much dead. It's mostly in the territory of libtards now and that all over the world.
There is no more middle grond. Heck, just listen to a few podcasts here is the US and u'll get my drift.

That still amounts to nothing. I dont care how many languages you can speak or claim to speak, your claims of living in multiple cities amounts to nothing as well. You are generalising again and again. Your views only affects your behaviour and outlook and under no circumstances represents anything beyond that.

Again your statement about liberals is of no consequence to me or applies at a wider level.
The most corrupt element of Pakistani society is the religious right, they are the ones which have done irreparable damage to this country, they are full of bigotry yet too dumb to realise how stupid they actually are.

The classic liberalism is not dead in-fact it is making a resurgence. I would argue that Neoliberalism is the one that is on its death bed. Neoliberalism is not liberalism. If you study in a bit of depth you will actually see that what GOP as a whole and Democratic Establishments economic agenda is actually Neoliberalism.

As for Pod Casts, most of them are run by know nothings blow hard with little to no understanding of the subject matter they are discussing, cherry picking to suit their believes. Pod Casts are the worst of echo chambers there are.

Ok, now I see what you were getting at.

Both have done harm to our nation, the liberal left gave birth to our corrupt secular dynasties of N/PPP, anti-national MQM, ANP, and Musharraf’s failed policies/American servitude.

The anti-Pakistan pseudo-religious right supported foreign powers in the guise of TTP, TLP, JUI-F, and MMA.

We can agree there.

Assalam alaikum.

PPP shouldnt be considered similar to ANP and MQM, the latter are both Ethnocentrist nationalists, where as PPP was supposed to be the representative of politics of left. But today is made to a party of Sindh instead of being a national party once it was.

The religious parties had always been working against Pakistan, they labelled Jinnah as "Kufar-e-Azam", staunchly against the idea of creation of Pakistan. Yet today they claim to be the guardians of ideology of Pakistan. In my opinion religious right is the biggest enemy of this country. TTP and all its affiliates did arise from this very same ideology.
