War is like that its tough, you win some you lose some, when you're strong you can destroy your enemy if you go through a weak period you take punishment

Yes we lost Spain, but equally Muslim armies marched to within distance of Paris and kept north Africa and many other former Christian lands

Even the crusades were defended against and eventually the crusaders thrown out by force

You win some you lose some

But surrendering. :astagh:

The proud muslims should have fought till last man and died.

Or maybe they are not proud after all.

Even Lebanon

Well in that case what about the Hindu Majapahit Kingdom? You can't just pick and choose when a certain area was under Muslim rule and make your demands based on that.

All the areas of South East Asia were Hindu Kingdoms before the arrival of Islam. So if we have to revert to the past and make demands based on that then why don't we all the way back. Why do you stop at Islamic kingdoms? There were kingdoms in the region even before Muhammed was born!

Should't Hindus be claiming all of Pakistan, Bangladesh, Kashmir cause once upon a time they were Hindu Kingdoms?

We are talking about the conflicts within modern states and their roots in the formation of said states, which effectively happened around the end of the colonial era, early-mid 20th century.

There were ethnic conflicts going all the way back to history, but there were no nation states -- only the spoils of war -- and the people within those kingdoms were often at each others' throat.

It's not about faith. The people are ethnically, culturally, and linguistically different. It's only the colonial diktat which forced them into a common country.

You mean by this that Muslims cannot co-exist with others? I doubt that.

If the Hindus in that state feel that they are being persecuted for their beliefs, then they could make that case.

Well, some Hindus think of the subcontinent what you think of the Palestine.

Only, the Jews were the inhabitants of that land before the Arabs.

No we are talking as to why only Muslims have these separatist tendencies. Why don't you see Hindus and Sikhs in Pakistan rebelling and starting an armed conflict, cause lets face it Most of Pakistan were under Hindus and Sikhs at some point of time in history.

Which brings me back to my original question, whats so special about Muslims? Why are they incapable of coexisting with others, specially after hitting the majority figures in a certain region?

Ironic that a Sri-Lankan should make that claim.

Word has it that your last conflict was between Hindus and Buddhists.

People do have different concepts of history you know.

And what they want to emphasize and De-emphasize.

So while we understand why you would think that "degree of force" doesn't matter and the "gift" thingy, don't expect everyone to think the same way.

Those buddists approve of the slaughter of Muslims in burma

As do indonesian buddists
As do sri lankan buddists
As do indian Hindus and buddists

There are almost no native Indonesian Buddhists and the fighting going on in Indonesia was between Burmese fishermen who applied for Asylum in Indonesia and Rohingya.

I have not seen a single report about anyone from Laos supporting the slaughter of anyone in Burma.

Muslim acceptance in Laos stark contrast to Myanmar intolerance | Pusat Informasi dan Advokasi Rohingya-Arakan (PIARA)

This is what the Laos times said about Burma

As for the hate part, hate begets hate, Muslims out of habit hate anything Non Muslim which comes back as hate in return.

See now you're speaking out of your hatred, because what you say is a logical fallacy - this forum wouldn't even exist if that were true.
