দিনাজপুরের হিলি সীমান্তে ক্যামেরা-ফ্ল্যাশলাইট বসাতে বাধা দিয়েছে ভারতীয় সীমান্ত রক্ষীবাহিনী (বিএসএফ)। চোরাচালান ঠেকাতে বর্ডার গার্ড বাংলাদেশ (বিজিবি) হিলি সীমান্তের কামালগেটের কাছে এই উদ্যোগ নিলে তাতে বাধা দেয় বিএসএফ। এতে বর্তমানে ওই এলাকায় সিসি ক্যামেরা ও ফ্ল্যাশলাইট স্থাপন আপাতত বন্ধ রয়েছে।
শনিবার দুপুরে হিলি সীমান্তের ২৮৪নং মেইন পিলারের ৫০ নং সাব পিলারের বিজিবির ২নং পোস্টের কাছে এ ঘটনাটি ঘটে। পরে বিজিবি ও বিএসএফ উভয় বাহিনী ঘটনাস্থল পরিদর্শন করেছেন। এ নিয়ে দুই বাহিনীর মাঝে এ বিষয়ে পতাকা বৈঠক অনুষ্ঠিত হওয়ার কথা রয়েছে।
বিজিবি ও স্থানীয় সূত্রে জানা গেছে, কয়েকদিন ধরেই হিলি সীমান্তের কামালগেটের পার্শ্ববর্তী এলাকা থেকে বিজিবির হিলি বিওপি এলাকাধীন ফুটবল মাঠ পর্যন্ত সিসি ক্যামেরা ও ফ্ল্যাশলাইট স্থাপনের জন্য পিলারসহ তার টানার কাজ চলছিল। দুপুরে সীমান্তের কামালগেটের পার্শ্বের এলাকায় সিসি ক্যামেরা ও ফ্ল্যাশলাইট স্থাপন করতে গেলে ভারতীয় সীমান্তবর্তী এলাকাবাসী তাদের দেশের দিকে তাক করে ক্যামেরা ও ফ্ল্যাশলাইট লাগানো হচ্ছে এমন অভিযোগে ক্যামেরা লাগাতে নিষেধ করেন। এসময় তারা ইট-পাটকেলও নিক্ষেপ করে।
পরে বিষয়টি জানাজানি হলে ভারতের হিলি বিএসএফ ক্যাম্প কমান্ডার এসি সুরেশ কুমার ও বিজিবির হিলি আইসিপি ক্যাম্প কমান্ডার সুবেদার লাভলু শিকদার ঘটনাস্থল পরিদর্শন করেন।
এসময় বিএসএফ ক্যাম্প কমান্ডার সুরেশ কুমার বলেন, ‘যেহেতু আপনারা ক্যামেরা ও ফ্ল্যাশলাইটগুলো আমাদের দেশের দিকে তাক করে লাগাচ্ছেন এতে ভারতীয়রা ক্ষিপ্ত হয়ে গেছে।’ এসময় তিনি সেখানে কাজ বন্ধ রাখার কথা বলেন। এছাড়াও বিষয়টি ঊর্ধ্বতন কর্তৃপক্ষকে অবহিত করার পরামর্শ দেন।
বিজিবির হিলি আইসিপি ক্যাম্প কমান্ডার সুবেদার লাভলু শিকদার বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করে জানান, কয়েকদিন ধরেই সীমান্তের হিলি রেলস্টেশন এলাকার মতো কামালগেটের পার্শ্বে থেকে ফুটবল মাঠ পর্যন্ত সিসি ক্যামেরা ও ফ্ল্যাশলাইট লাগানোর কাজ চলছিলো। আজ (শনিবার) ক্যামেরা লাগানোর সময় ভারতীয়রা সেই কাজে বাধা দেয়। পরে বিজিবি ও বিএসএফ উভয়েই আমরা ঘটনাস্থল পরিদর্শন করেছি। এসময় বিএসএফের পক্ষ থেকেও আমাদের কাজ বন্ধ রাখার কথা বলে।
বিজিবির ক্যাম্প কমান্ডার সুবেদার লাভলু শিকদার আরও বলেন, ‘আপাতত সেখানে ক্যামেরা ও ফ্লাসলাইট লাগানোর কাজ বন্ধ রয়েছে। বিষয়টি আমরা আমাদের ঊদ্ধর্তন কর্তৃপক্ষকে অবহিত করেছি। বিকালে এ নিয়ে দু’বাহিনীর মাঝে পতাকা বৈঠক অনুষ্ঠিত হওয়ার কথা রয়েছে। পরে কাজ শুরু হবে।’
Indian border guard force (BSF) has stopped blocking camera-flashlight in Dinajpur's Hili border. To prevent smuggling, the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has stopped the initiative from Kamalgate in the Hili frontier to prevent it. It is currently closed for the installation of CC cameras and flashlights in the area.
The incident took place near BGB 2 no. Of Sub-pillar 50 of the Main Pillar of No 284 at Hili Border on Saturday. Later both the BGB and BSF visited the site. A flag meeting between the two forces will be held in this regard.
BGB and local sources said that for some days the work was going on with the pillar to install CC cameras and flashlights from the adjacent areas of the Hili border to BGB's Hili BOP football ground. In order to set up CC cameras and flashlights in the side area of Kamalgate border on the border, Indian border people asked the students to put cameras and flashlights on their sides, and they were not allowed to put the camera. They also threw brick-and-petals.
After the matter was known, the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) camp commander AC Suresh Kumar and BGB's Hili ICP camp commander Subedar Lavlu Shikder visited the spot.
Meanwhile, BSF camp commander Suresh Kumar said, "Since you are making cameras and flashlights targeting our country, the Indians have become mad." He said that he should stop working there. It also advised the senior authority to inform the matter.
BGB's Hili ICP camp commander Subedar Lavlu Shikdar confirmed that the work was being done to install CC cameras and flashlights from the side of Kamalgate to the football field, for a few days as the Hili Railway Station area. Indians were barred from working on the cameras today (Saturday). Later, both of the BGB and BSF visited the site. In the meantime, the BSF also asked us to stop working.
BGB camp commander Subedar Lavlu Shikder further said, "There is now no work on the installation of the camera and the flashlight. We have notified the matter to our elevating authority. In the afternoon, the flag meeting between the two forces will be held. Then the work will start. '
