I am not soo much into finance...I only have limited knowledge on the subject but Brunei is already practicing it and UK has degrees on Islamic banking...if it is that bad...they cant possibly have a degree of 4yrs and 1 yr masters on it?

I don't see anything wrong if an Islamic country with predominantly Muslim population like Pakistan adopts Sharia. The problem with Brunei is that almost 35% of its population are non Muslims. I wonder what they think about living under Sharia.

Only 20% even OP has it written...man all of you need reading spects! An Indian recently showed me a report from Brunei itself saying 83% were Muslims..take your pick!

They can live as they always have lived except they cant go around having sex with every girl they see...if you feel pity do tell them they can have as many girls as they want from non Muslim countries as in your eyes its ok and not an offence

1stly no....Coz it was rape then rape rules apply....what was applied was a mixed jargon of rape plus infidelity plus cultural laws!

2ndly, In India there is no Shariah so every Tom Dick and Harry cant even give such a punishment and label it Shariah!

3rdly, def wrong interpretation....

My data was from wikipedia, it says 67% Muslim population, remember wiki has 10% as atheists. To confirm it, I checked CIA factbook and the actual percentage is 78.8%. So still 21% of the total population are non Muslims. Not a small number.

I know the basics....enough not to get a wrong judge put me behind bars...basic knowledge is necessary in todays world!

I told you there is a 4yr degree in Shariah...I didnt do it so I do not know the whole code of law...but since I have read the Quran with translation and many hadith I know my basics....Just like you read up your basics when you enter a foreign land...or even simpler when boarding a plane!

if its is not shariya then why we Hindus had to pay separate taxes taxes during aurangjeb rule. if not separate taxes, then why it is called jiziya. if others are not treated as second class citizen then why they are not allowed to serve in armed forces in shariat rule.
