BRTC to get double decker buses on 12th Feb: Indian Line of Credit

You got the point here that is it if u can afford 2 buses for the price of one and that that has to be deal and more over tata is planning to come to bangladesh some assembly they may start soon and yes it will happen pretty soon bangladesh is to important to be ignored from business prospective...

Yes we are a 160 million people consumer base for India. Its all good, but i want our government to put some regulations on which sector the Indian companies can come, we have to be very careful, otherwise it will kill our local businesses.

You are right, one can't developed if its capital is choked due to traffic. We will be more then happy to help friend Bangladesh in getting a subway/metro system. As we have it in 5 of our cities and other 12 are under construction. Our experience can help you.

India, China, Malaysia....point is whoever gives us a better deal at the end of the day.

yes u are right with that and again india needs to understand that bangladesh has its own industry we can have some JV's there that can help and also my feeling once u have a local brand people are more motivated to buy those products so may be again it all comes to the policy of countries and there implementation

Don't be hating bro. Dhaka is the best place to race in the world after midnight......street racing at its best!........my cousin, I and my friends after midnight from airport to mohakhali flyover pulling 150-170 kn...my max was 210....i miss dhaka :(

Well bro, I never did drag racing in my life even though tempted by fellow racers. I know how to beat them and make fool out of them. Anywasy BD is one of the most dangerous place to drive, be it midnight or mid noon. I knew a kid, totalled 13 of his car before he totalled himself in the 14th. Be carefull.

Yes Indian investor can make good use of BD, in industrial investment. Our industries are growing at a pace of 10% a year whereas its only 3% in India this year. Besides we need massive investment in infra and power sector. But those are big investments, and not sure India already built that kind of capacity to invest 3-4 billion dollar structures.

the only reason foreign investors aren't investing in dhaka is due to a lack of infrastructure, we have the cheap labor and our government is fairly easy to do business with.

Its not that foreign investor are not willing but lack of vision by the government made things so difficult. For instance Samsung was looking for 500 plots in EPZ near Dhaka or Chittagong for an investment of 1.2 billion dollar for conumer electronics. But govt shown them Khulna and Iswardy. If I were the PM of BD, I would had given them the entire IT park of Kaliakuir Tangail whichs had been sitting idle for the last 1 decade. But sad it is, we are not creative.

You are a lucky chap.. i envy you. I had to do everything of myself. But hey, if you get something after a long try, makes you the happiest person in earth. I bet, a simple corolla will make me more happy than what corvette will do to you. LOL

That is also a problem with Bangladesh, every business initiative you will take, you need close political connections with the very top. I bet a top level awami league government had shares in it. Right now the government will not even give you a loan for 10 crore without having top political backing and lots of todbir.

Normally when i visit dhaka i drive an allion that is used by my mum, sometimes i'd steal my dad's car for showing off to chicks and racing :P...but i had a condition with my dad that if i get into law school he'll get me a merc c class in dhaka. So yes, i am really excited for the summer. I have graduated this december and doing an internship here so cant wait for it to finish and for me to return back home. I am so homesick!....by the way man....where do you work if you dont mind me asking.
