well , even if we presume it to be the 2010 exercises, then why did RAF take 1.5 years to say this. Everyone takes pride to showcase one's success at the earliest.
So, in my point of view, this seems as the last minute effort to push for the deal as i read that here that financial bids were opening in a week's time.

the EF is highly maneuverable a very good dog fighter indeed but this was WVR most air to air combat today will take place in BVR a field that both of these aircraft are good at remember in 2007 where IAF pilots out preformed the EF the RAF learned from their mistakes and upped us on this one

About the only sensible post here. Indians pretending that Mki's can never be surpassed is as silly as Pakistanis believing that their f-16's can never be beaten. The IAF would not have short listed the EF & the Rafale if they believed them to be inferior to the Mki's. The only certainty is that something better will always come along.

No.In both the Red Flag as well as at waddington,the IAF didnt use BARS as they didnt want to disclose classified technology about it.come on man in close range engagements with a turn rate of around 32 degrees and an extremely high AoA coupled with TVC,as well as the HMS + R-77 IR AAM its a bit too much for the EFT to tackle MKI.
Even if the EFT has a few advantages over the MKI,let the Su-30MKI 'super-30' come out the remaining advantage which the MKI might have will be nullified

Guys - apart from real war scenario there is noting comparable btn fighter planes. The only thing that can be discussed in tech and in terms of tech Typhoon is slightly advanced than MKI.

Typhoon is an advance fighter jet then MKI or any other in same generation right now in Market. There is no doubt about this. But India should not worry about it cause neither china or Pakistan is planning to buy this.
