Britain & Turkey discuss Libya
British Prime Minister David Cameron met with visiting Turkish Prime Minister on Thursday. Cameron says no decision has been made on arming rebels who have been fighting Colonel Gaddafi. Here's what the Turkish leader had to say.
He said, "With regard to arming the rebels, we don't view such a decision. This could only create an environment which would be conducive to terrorism, and that would in itself be dangerous.
The fact NATO is now involved is a step that is taken to overcome or solve the problems and that's why we look favorably upon the involvement of NATO, and it should be NATO which should take measures to protect Libyan civilians from cruelty."
