If many young people move to Shenzhen and commute to Hong Kong daily, they may get to afford a house or large apartment of their own and still continue to enjoy their city.

Lol Shenzhen's housing affordability isn't much better than in HK, an average youth in HK still won't be able to afford a 'large apartment of their own' in SZ. It's more expensive than SF and NY.

UK is hoping to lure the rich Hong Kongers away but China needs to write into law, as part of the new security reforms, that anyone accepting a British passport are officially defectors and traitors to Chinese Motherland. They should have any HK/Chinese citizenship rights revoked, be subject to sanctions and all their assets frozen and seized and used for the betterment of China. The Chinese people should be under no illusion that the West is waging economic war against China. Britain and the other Five Eyes countries of US, Australia, Canada and NZ are enemy states and defection to these countries is tantamount to treason. They are all in collusion to damage China's economy, national security, sovereignty and global image. China shouldn't let traitorous Hong Kongers take all the wealth they earned from China and take it to strengthen these enemy states. How does Shenzhen’s cost compare to Hong Kong’s cost? Shenzhen also doesn’t have a “geographic limit” as Hong Kong does, so it will just be moving further out along the metro or high speed train route till you can afford it.

for example in this video, employees living in Shenzhen cut their commute from 1 hour down to 15 minutes with the new high speed rail line.

Why else do you think tiny HK has more ultra-wealthy than large economies like India, SK, France and the UK?

Why do they migrate/move their assets from the mainland? Because they don't feel that their money is safe with the lack of rule of law and with the communist rhetoric of confiscating wealth like you just claimed.

The CCP won't be stupid enough to do what you recommended as that will just tarnish their reputation and encourage further capital outflow from the mainland itself.

You are right. The average person won’t be able to afford a “large apartment” but more than they can afford in Hong Kong if they can keep their job. If the Hong Kong economy shift so much so that many of these jobs are no longer there, people will flee to where they can be live their lives, and it will be a moot point.
