all a plan to coax Pakistan into it, If arabs are in then we might be more inclined. We should remember we are closer to Nato and we stood with them during the cold war.

Pakistan has already been interested in joining but was blocked by India and China. They're supposed to try again at this summit coming up in late August.
There's a reason why the acronym stands for North Atlantic Treaty Organization. And if you look at the list of member states, it's pretty clear that countries like Pakistan and Egypt etc. won't be invited any time soon lol. Plus I don't think there's much desire from those member states to hold it against us for joining BRICS.

There are no rules or criteria laid down by BRICS for newcomers. Remember BRICS was just an acronym used by a Britisher to lump together 4 countries that were large countries with a fast growing economies. Those 4 were Brazil Russia India and China.
South Africa was a later addendum as there was no representation from Africa.
Since then Brazil and Russia have had their economies crater. South Africa , an afterthought, never had a fast growing economy.
Until the BRICS come up with what makes BRICS and what criteria to apply to new applicants , they should avoid expansion.

No, Pakistan has been invited by China to join the BRICS plus just few days ago, maybe only India objected before not China, time to kick out India from the group, it doesn't fit in the group.

The purpose of BRICS is to have the next big economies under one umbrella when it was created. South Africa was more or less added to it to give an influential country in Africa some representation.
More than India blocking Pakistan, they do not have the weight to even come up in G20. Why would BRICS add Pakistan?
