BREAKING NEWS - USAF Aircraft Intrudes Indian Airsapce. Forced to Land at Mumbai?

It is a surprise info. that US is buying Russin wepons for ANA or xyz! and some of confiscated wepons from terrorists operaitng inside Pakistan are using them! who is to be blamed here?
if it was not upto this accident, most of us would not have learned about it?
I'm really upset about the approach of Pakistan govt. on terrorists.
We clearly see what is happening than why are we so hush hish about it !
Shouldn't we parade the captured terrorists and confiscated wepons to the world media?
Hon. Blain, I have many questions about the unthoughtful approach in Sawat etc......

Probably not Eastern European weapons. There is no reason to fly over Mumbai on that route. I'd believe the news stories about it taking off from Diego Garcia (which again rules out Eastern European origins).
The aircraft itself can be leased easily from many cargo operators. They have in the past contracted with Airbus, Rolls Royce etc.

How does one know that Diego Garcia was the point of origin? Secondly, US has ordered considerable amounts of arms and ammunition from countries such as Poland to equip the ANA. Its cheaper and the Afghans are familiar with the weaponry coming from countries like Poland. There was a mention of the aircraft carrying large number of AK series rifles and ammunition thus I am making this connection (although its just speculation on my part).

I just think there really is nothing sinister here. The fact that it strayed into India is being made into something huge. Aircraft go off course every now and then. This is certainly not the first or the last time for such thing to transpire.

Who would fly from Poland to Kandahar/Pakistan over Mumbai ? You'd always fly over land if possible. The fact that the Monsoons are on makes the story even more strange.
It could be the cargo of MI-7 helicopters as another poster pointed out, but I doubt the origin as anything other than Diego Garcia if the destination was Afghanistan or Pakistan.

the news is repoeting it a FIGHTER JET!

air cheif marshal and other authorities have denied it to be comming from Pakistani side!

by the way the plane is i mumbai now i guess if there is any such plane!!

regrads!

Why not? Why is the assumption that the most streamlined flightpath was the only consideration for this flight? What if the aircraft made multiple stops before heading over to Pakistan?

There is too much paranoia about this flight.

Yes we remember that, we also know that the cowards can only bring down an unarmed aircraft.:coffee:

hmmnn...

Maybe the Aircraft was hired by the Indian to covertly deliver arms and ammunition to the Talibans fighting against the Pakistan Army. Maybe the Indians want to make sure that the aircraft was not confiscated by the Pakistanis. Maybe the Indian Civil Aviation Authority was playing TETRIS while this aircraft came through to be a USAF fighter jet. Who Knows!

yea what we knows is that there are Too much "maybe"s in your post.:blah:

First of all they came from Pakistani airspace so it was the duty of your ATC staff to make it go through the right way. Secondly it is a US aircraft. An-124 is made by Ukraine, and Ukraine has given quite amount of Logistics support to the NATO.
.
And ya about the pigeons, BSF has already caught many hawks, with sensors attached to their feet on the Rajhasthan border.
.
Guess who has not been able to catch our pigeons yet.

Who told you the aircraft came through Pakistani airspace genius? Your blabbering media? Even if it did, it is not our responsibility to show it the way ahead, its the responsibility of our ATC to ensure its passage through the designated air corridor over our territory. Admit it, Indian Civil Aviation Boys SUCK big time to be responsible for such a fiasco!

And your pigeons are back in India as OUR pigeons now Junior! :enjoy:
