Three killed as terrorists attack Peshawar's Christian Colony

Firing from both the sides is still underway.
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Atleast four terrorists were killed in an exchange of fire with the securityforces in Christian Colony area of Peshawar on Friday.

Security forces while cordoning off the area has tightened the security whereas aerial surveillance is also being done.

Warsak Road has been closed for traffic whereas security of schools has also been hardened.

Emergency has also been imposed in all the hospitals including Lady Reading.

Firing from both the sides is still underway.

This is a developing story and will be updated accordingly to events.

According to reports, the exchange of firing between gunmen and security personnel is still underway.

At least five to six terrorists entered in the area early on Friday morning, with a possible intent to attack a nearby Christian community, reported Geo News, quoting sources.

Report also said that five blasts were also heard. There are reportedly 25 to 30 houses of Christian community located in the vicinity.

PESHAWAR: Four terrorists were killed during exchange of fire with security forces in Peshawar’s Christian Colony on Friday morning, ARY News reported.

According to details, firing took place at 5.50 am when four terrorists entered Christian Colony area located at Peshawar’s Warsak Road due to which three people were injured.

Police and security forces arrived at the scene after which an exchange of fire took place, resulting in the death of two terrorists whereas twoattackers blew themselves up.

It should be noted that Christian Colony is located six to seven kilometers distance from Army Public School in Peshawar.

A search operation is underway whereas all entry and exit points of the area have been sealed. A gunship helicopter is also hovering over the area to assist the security forces.





Ambulances have allowed to enter the area whereas emergency has been declared in local hospitals to meet any medical contingency.

Director General of Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lieutenant General Asim Bajwa confirmed that four terrorists have been killed by the security forces.

Hmmm No reports of anyone being killed ,, All 4 terrorist wearing suicidal jackets were killed , Area Clear no more Militants left .... 2 Civilians (they were security guards ) and 3 Security Personnel (2 FC and 1 Police jawan Injured )
