Although logicaly thinking i would agree with you ...but thinking patriotically ... Someone has to take first step ... Why it cant be him ? May be we get another Quaid.e.Azam in form of raheel sharif ...

Good move. This is way to announce the candidate for the election unlike anarchism aka dharna. Let's give the nation to vote for; more options the merrier.

Politics is only corrupt as people who are corrupt. Politics can be clean as people who are clean. It is not platform that is responsible, rather it is people. I believe General Raheel can change to garner trust from the future generation on politics and overall the whole concept of platform.

realistically speaking he cant succeed.
The best he can do is become an MNA/MPA without the endorsement of a political party as an independent candidate.
An MNA/MPA, especially an independent one, has little to no influence on national policy.
If he gets a party nomination then he will have to serve the agenda of the party over his own.

The only alternative is to go the Imran Khan route, form a new political party, but we all know how that is going.

you need a team to do something greater. you will need a team of 11 good cricketers to win a world cup. a single M amir may win for you one or two matches. raheel will not get even 100 selfless, honest, dedicated people. and even if he gets them by a miracle then our system is sooooooooooooooo much corrupt that he wont be able to win more then few seats . we as a nation are corrupt to the core. so we should not expect progress. today one has to bribe at every place to get ones legal jobs done. when this becomes the new normality in a state then wait for destruction and not for glory.
