Breaking News: Altaf Hussain arrested in London

Just to refresh ourselves exactly what Altaf Hussain said -

“Pakistan is cancer for entire world,” he had said. “Pakistan is headache for the entire world. Pakistan is the epicentre of terrorism for the entire world. Who says long live Pakistan...it’s down with Pakistan.”

And this is a guy who was voted into power for decades and his influence still remains in Karachi, witness the police has been put on high alert lest his supporters cause trouble. Indeed his party was even in power and at times had presence in the federal government of Musharaf. PTM eat your heart out. By comparison they are kids. A fringe that has nominal support and will never go anywhere near centre of power.

@Nilgiri

Ps. Somebody send me a memo when PTM actually win control over a huge metropolitan city like Karachi or form part of the federal government and run government departments. A member here called PTM supporters savages. I wonder what he calls Altaf supporters who had vast support?

That's exactly what it's all about. Expecting anything different is like milking bull.
Your analysis does not make any sense. Why would they arrest him for that? Why could they not send a few agents to his home with new instructions? Can you explain that or you also have some special "insiders" insight?

they are toothless traitor . if they come bk even their cousins will kill them .
A killed traitor is a good traitor

Forget, delivery hate speech in foreign country. He has been arrested even for money laundering with millions pounds stashed at home and it was said that you may get away with murder in UK but you can't get away with money laundering. What happened?

They are doing what's in their best interest, if rule of law was followed he'd be arrested a long time ago. I think they might just pressure Altaf to get his strength back or do something to stir things up in Karachi. Highly unlikely that they'd charge him or anything. Let's see. @HRK , thoughts?
Altaf is a spent bullet who has lost his utility so his freedom is potentially more dangerous for his handlers than his arrest .... so even if he may get bail he will be put behind the curtains probably on medical grounds

Only good thing done by Ganja league /previous government to file a complain against this men who destroyed the biggest city of Pakistan..Good news from last 2 days..Hamza and zardari in jail and now Altaf

IF civilian side is to be credited than it was Chaudhary Nissar ..... Ganja brothers were supporting him even Ishaq Dar played his part many times to 'facilitate' him

Indeed without proper applications through formal channel UK government would not have acted...Credit can go to chaudary nisar as representing interior minister in the government of his party..

He needs to be brought back to Pakistan and hang him in his home town , liaqatabad 90 ...

You are perfectly right. As far as I can recall, the money laundering case against Altaf was not closed, because of inadequacy of evidence; but it was shut, on the plea that to pursue this case is not in "public interest". What that "public interest" was, is not on record; but must be in some classified document of UK.

Looks like mission clean up is in full swing. A lot of riff-raff got broomed away in the last few days. Good going. Team Pak FTW.

I used to call him "Tafu changar" on siasat.pk in 2011.
