IDF says exchange of fire along Gaza border began with sniper attack on soldier
More details are emerging from the exchange of fire along the Gaza border.

According to the IDF, Hamas fighters opened fire at an IDF patrol along the border fence near the Kissufim checkpoint. They fired a 0.5-inch round from a sniper rifle, the army says.

One soldier was lightly hurt from the gunfire and has been taken to Soroka Hospital in Beersheba.

The IDF then returned fire, shelling multiple Hamas positions in the area. Hamas fighters are themselves responding with assault rifle fire.

It's possible IDF instigated this gun fight, I do not believe their narrative and will wait for the Palestinian account.

Reports of two settlers and/or IDF soldiers killed outside West Bank Israeli settlement ....

The person who targeted the settlers has been reported killed, as well as one settler now reported dead from his wounds ....

^^

This is unrelated to Gaza, it's an individual frustrated with the transfer of settlers unto Palestinian territory via armed force.

Israeli forces kill Palestinian, 14

A 14-year-old Palestinian has been killed by Israeli army fire, according to health officials in the besieged Gaza Strip.

Ashraf al-Qidra, spokesperson for the health ministry in Gaza, said the teenager was killed east of Khan Younis.

His killing raises the number of Palestinian shot dead on Friday to two - earlier in the day, Ghazi Mohammad Abu Mustafa, 43, succumbed to his wounds after being shot in the head.

At least 184 Palestinians were wounded by Israeli forces on Friday, 117 of whom needed hospital treatment, said al-Qidra. Seventy cases involved live bullets. Among the wounded were 14 children and 10 women, as well as four paramedics and one journalist.

PM said to tell ministers of new ‘unprecedented’ diplomatic initiative in Gaza

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has told senior cabinet ministers that a new initiative will soon be launched for a diplomatic solution in the Gaza Strip, Channel 10 news reported Friday.

Netanyahu reportedly said during private conversations that the efforts, led by Egypt and the United Nations and with Israel’s cooperation, have made significant progress.

A senior diplomatic official told the TV station: “Egypt and the UN are putting immense pressure on all sides. This is an unprecedented initiative, but it is still too early to say whether it will succeed. A lot is at stake.”

The plan was said to include rebuilding the enclave’s moribund civilian infrastructure, a return of the Palestinian Authority to the Strip and a long-term ceasefire.

A minister who is a member of the high-level security cabinet said Israel was willing to push a civil initiative in Gaza. “There is such an intention and hopefully Netanyahu will bring it before the cabinet for approval.”

It is widely reported that this is Iran's work. They can't retaliate against Israel in Syria, so are using their palestinian whores to do their bidding. Murdered an Israeli on Israeli soil. 4 terrorists eliminated in response and hopefully many more.

Who do you think you are "give them citizenship" the absolute gall and front of you palestinians. Like the world owes you favours in response to your murderous ways.

There is a delay in posts showing up.
not , only that , its also proven beyond any doubt that , last night Lunar eclipse was Iranian work , those sneaky Persian and their damned Quds Force last night tried to stole the moon for themselves , but thank God the Glorious IDF yet again intervened in time and saved the world from Evil Iranian plans

We condemn the destruction of Gaza cultural centre in Israeli airstrike

As theatre practitioners who have worked closely with Palestinian artists, we write to condemn the bombing and total destruction of the Said Al-Mishal Cultural Centre in Gaza on 9 August by an Israeli airstrike. We support our dear friends and colleagues who describe “their great rage and deep pain” at the obliteration of this symbol of Palestinian culture and identity as they mourn the destruction of one of the few large venues for theatre and music performances in besieged Gaza.

Since its establishment in 2004, Al-Mishal served as a home for hundreds of plays, ceremonies, exhibits, musical performances and national ceremonies. It was the venue of choice for theatre companies in Gaza and a space for Gaza’s top musical acts. The centre also included recreational activities for children who were affected by three successive wars in Gaza, including the first dabkeh school for 250 children. It is a devastating loss for the already isolated community.

We are deeply shocked that this act of destruction has not been widely reported in the British press. We support all efforts to continue Al-Mishal’s mission and the campaign for the centre’s reconstruction. We urge the UK government and the international community to take prompt and effective steps to seek a de-escalation of the situation in Gaza, to insist on the effective protection of civilians as a prime legal obligation and to take firm action to ensure that violations of international law are not tolerated.
