Breaking: Iran unveils Saeqeh UCAV, shows captured American MQ1 Predator

2 times MQ-1's that crashed in Iraq were picked up by ISF.

MQ-1 crashed near Kut a while ago, eventually it was taken to Baghdad airport by the police, what happened to it then is unknown (whether delivered to Americans or what).

Most likely they just returned to US forces.

Congrats ... very nice ... although Americans ain't welcomed in Iran their drones are .. reminded me of "Hotel California" "You can check-out any time you like, But you can never leave! " .....

But one Q , I didn't see any missile or bomb presented beside 1:1 version of Iranian RQ-170 ..? why?

.
I don't know but it had a malfunction that's why it went down.
That's how US transferring high tech to Iran ? .......Man they are getting high tech for free. They need to pay some money. Its unfair.

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran's latest drone product was unveiled on Saturday in a ceremony in the presence of Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh.
"The drone, Saeqeh (Thunderbolt) is Iran's latest pilotless plane from Simorgh (Phoenix) class and enjoys the capability to simultaneously strike at four targets with smart bombs equipped with pinpoint and precision striking capability at long distances," Hajizadeh said, addressing the ceremony in Tehran today.

Noting that Iran is now standing among the first four world states in developing drones, he said, "The Americans are on par with us in certain (drone building) fields, including production of stealth and bomber drones, and actually, the Americans are trying to stay on par with us in this section."

General Hajizadeh announced in March that Iran has decided to call its own version of the US Sentinel spy drone RQ-170 “Simorgh".

In an interview with the state TV, Hajizadeh said the IRGC named its version of the US drone RQ-170 - that was downed and remanufactured through reverse engineering four years ago - “Simorgh”, an Iranian benevolent, mythical flying creature.

The manufacture of the Iranian drone based on the US RQ-170 spying drone, which was captured in 2011 by the IRGC Aerospace Force was a major blow to the US government.

The Iranian version of the RQ-170 drone was manufactured through reverse engineering of the US drone, which was tracked and hunted down in Iran late in 2011, and has been equipped by the IRGC with bombing capability.

Back in October 2013, General Hajizadeh said Iran moved as much as 35 years ahead in building drone engines by reverse engineering of the US drone.

The RQ-170 engines are the fifth generation and the engines of Iranian unmanned planes are the third generation, Hajizadeh said.

Iran has downed many other US drones as well, and they have always started reproducing them immediately after conducting reverse engineering.

Iran was the first nation to deploy a UCAV, this was in the 80's during Iran Iraq war so just imagine how advanced we are today. Indeed in terms deploying actual UCAV we are on the forefront of this tech.

In terms of today's news we can saw:

1- Iran has proven to posses the capability to put into service flying wing UAVs. This is a very big news as such designs by their nature are unstable and require special computing systems, which Iran has now demonstrated to have.

2- Given how many different design Iran has now made, Iran has gained tremendous experience in this sector. Thanks to the Americans, they have pushed Iran's UAV tech greatly.

3- The saegheh is the Iranian design UCAV, As of now it is a smaller version and in the future it will be a much bigger stealth UCAV with weapons bay. However, this current one is still very big news. Each of these bad boys carries 4 smart bombs, these will be use in swarms attack. Very deadly system!

Congratulation to Iran. Be assured, this is nothing compared to what you'll see in the future.

And how exactly are these pictures proof that the one shown in Iran came from Iraq?

US, China, Iran, Israel, Turkey, at least these ones have used them in battlefield, at least once.
Thats it?

Thats it?

Yes, more or less. Maybe there are others that have been unveiled. but these ones I mentioned used them in war. Turkey joined the club of operators of UCAVs just in this past month, allegedly using its Bayraktar UCAV in northern Syria.

I know Pakistan also has Burraq, but I don't know whether it's used battlefield or not.

Burraq is a Chinese Ch-3.
As for the turks, no evidence any of their UAV is battle tested.
And where is the evidence Israel has used UCAV?

The CH-3 is Pakistani variant produced locally.
