PIJ didn't expect an actual Israeli assault and Israelis evacuated all border areas. Hamas will not enter the battle without having performed better than the last time. You'll never see such a 'preemptive operation' in Lebanon because Hezbollah is way better armed than PIJ. You opened the assault by killing 10 people in Gaza city, 10km away from the border. Everyone in Lebanon including the government want and work for a deal with Israel regarding the gas fields. If hizbulla will start war we will bring hell. Lebanon airport sea port factory's electric system bridges and government buildings, South Lebanon (hizbulla strong Hall) high buildings will be dust. More then 10,000 Dead and billions of dollars of damage.

There was terrible incompetence on the part of the PIJ. From the beginning it became obvious Israeli's sought to target Gaza as potentially a warning to Gaza to not get involved in upcoming showdown in Lebanon. PIJ political statements were incompetent. They should've condemned events in Jenin but gave the freedom for the Resistance of Jenin to deal with the developments there, singling out Gaza. This would have allowed Hamas to warn Israel of any assault on Gaza.

Instead they fell into trap to appear as if they wanted to take action on behalf of a member of theirs in the West Bank. First big mistake. Then they never took security precautions in Gaza and didn't take seriously the Israeli threats. They were never on alert nor prepared to respond with effective means. Their political leaders, with exception of Khalid Batsh, did not properly navigate the situation. And then agreeing to a ceasefire once Iron Dome begins to get exhausted. Not inflicting a single casualty.

Then having their political chief Al Nakallah to make a press conference saying nonsense. This level of political incompetence should not be tolerated in this day and age.

Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar is much more competent and Hamas as an organization as a whole is much more competent. PIJ needs to dissolve itself and join Hamas instead of worrying about competing with Hamas. Only when Hamas leads the battle does anything good happen against the enemy.
