Truth is, China dumped Russia yesterday at the UN for its own interests yesterday, Russia is dumping Assad and Iran for its own interests as we speak, after this is through, Iran will dump Assad and its supporters for its own long term interests in Syria. Truth is when your interests don’t align and you piggy back on some cause which won’t see light of day, you jump ship to fresher waters to survive. This is the nature of the beast.

Russia does not have significant assists on the ground besides a few s-400 batteries. Russia has a logistics nightmare as it needs to cross the basphouros straits which is controlled by turkey for supplies. Russia also needs oil to keep their ships going and planes operational, russia can’t win a manouverble war here and if you can move due to low oil, then your sitting ducks for coalition planes. GCC states will probably be supplying fresh free oil to the coalition for this attack to keep it going.
