I am actually very surprised to see here in PDF how much hatred filled among many Pakistanis and small minority Bangladeshi members (jamaatis mostly) against India. Ok, Pakistanis can say why they hate India but as a Bangladeshi I am surprised to see BD members in this forum who eats Indian foods and watch Indian channels (98% channels in BD are Indian channels) hate India to core.

Bangladesh is a country which is basically totally inside Indian map. We are covered from almost all sides by India. We import a large amount of food from India. Even the essential ones. Onions, Rice, Eggs, Sugar etc. Even during Eid-Ul-Azha we get lakhs of cows from India to give Kurbani since local suppliers can't meet the demand.

Its so funny that I sometime wonder if India didn't help us these Jamaatis would have been slaves to West Pakistani rulers.

Most Bangladeshis have soft corner for India since it helped to get a free independent country for Bengalis except Jamaatis.

200 Dalit families (in India) flee village after attack by upper caste group

Thirteen people of the Ror community have been arrested and heavy security deployed in Pabnawa village of Kaithal district in Haryana, after a 400-strong mob allegedly launched an attack on 150 Dalits on Saturday, causing some 200 Dalit families to flee the village. Their houses were allegedly looted and women humiliated.

The attack was a sequel to Dalit boy Suryakant’s marriage with Ror community girl Meena on April 10.

The Rors comprise 60 per cent of the village population. On Tuesday, a committee headed by P.L. Punia, chairman of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Commission, visited the village and directed the district administration to assess the economic loss of the Dalits and expedite compensation payment.

They were allegedly attacked with rods and sticks in a well-planned operation, during which the electricity supply to the village was reportedly cut off. It was restored only after the police reached the spot some hours later.

Gaibandha Hindus under attack

Jamaat-Shibir activists allegedly vandalised houses and shops of Hindu community in Gaibandha Sadar upazila last night.

Locals said a group of Shibir activists vandalised five shops and two dwelling houses of the minority community. They also beat up the inmates, leaving five injured, reports our Gaibandha correspondent.

The victims alleged that they came under attack as they have cast their votes for Awami League candidate in Sunday's 'one-sided election".

Similar situation was also prevailing in different Hindu villages in Sundarganj upazila in the district.

Sujan Proshad, secretary of Bangladesh Puja Udjapon Parishad's Gaibandha Sader unit, expressed concern at the attack and demanded arrest of the attackers.

Meanwhile, alleged Jamaat-Shibir activists hurled a crude bomb at the house of minority community leader in Rajshahi.

No one was hurt in the incident that took place around 7:00pm in Charghat upazila, reports our Rajshahi correspondent.

সাতক্ষীরার স্থানীয় সাংবাদিকরা জানিয়েছেন, শনিবার গভীর ভোরে মুখোশধারী ১৫-২০ জন দুর্বৃত্ত দেবহাটা উপজেলার উত্তর পারুলিয়া গ্রামের সংখ্যালঘুদের কয়েকটি বাড়িতে আগুন দেয়। দু'টি বাড়ি সম্পূর্ণ পুড়ে যাওয়ার পর এলাকাবাসী চিতকার শুরু করলে দুর্বৃত্তরা পালিয়ে যায়। এসময় এলাকাবাসী সেকেন্দারা আওয়ামী লীগ নেতা আব্দুল গফফারকে হাতেনাতে ধরে ফেলে। পরে তাকে মারধর করে পুলিশে খবর দেয়। আজ সকাল ৯টার দিকে পুলিশ তাকে গ্রেপ্তার করে।



আটক আওয়ামী লীগ নেতা আব্দুল গফফার জানান, স্থানীয় আওয়ামী লীগ নেতার নির্দেশে সে হিন্দুদের বাড়িতে আগুন ধরিয়ে দেয়।



এদিকে, আন্তর্জাতিক অপরাধ ট্রাইবুনাল-১-এর বিচারপতি জাহাঙ্গীর হোসেনের সেনবাগ উপজেলা কাবিলপুর গ্রামের বাড়িতে হামলার প্রস্তুতিকালে পেট্রোল বোমাসহ তিন ছাত্রলীগ নেতাকর্মী আটক করা হয়েছে। আটকৃতরা হলেন- ৫নং ওয়ার্ড মহিদীপুর ছাত্রলীগ সভাপতি ও একই গ্রামের আবদুল মোতালেবের ছেলে জাহিদ হোসেন বাবু (২২), একই গ্রামের দুলাল হোসেনের ছেলে রাসেল বাবু (২০) এবং আজিজপুর গ্রামের শরিয়ত উল্যাহ ছেলে ওমর ফারুক (১৯)।

সেনবাগ থানার ওসি জানান, রাত সাড়ে ১১টার দিকে দায়িত্বরত কর্মকর্তা এসআই শাহজাহান রাতে বিচারপতির গ্রামে গেলে এলাকাবাসী তাদের ধরে পুলিশের হাতে তুলে দেন। আটককৃতদেরকে বিচারপতির বাড়িতে পেট্রোল বোমা হামলার মামলায় আটক দেখানো হয়েছে।

When you buy stuff from another country it becomes yours....you might eat Indian food(no surprise there)....we sure as hell don't......we buy it and thus it becomes our......we eat our own food.....then again I do not expect you to understand how economics and trade works!98% channels on your television might be Indian channels(not surprising)...but its definitely not on my TV....you see we live in the 21st century....we can pick and choose channels that we want to see.....I can have 100% korean channels on my television if I want to because of satellites!And regarding cows....do you have any idea how many of your fellow Bangladeshi cow traders have died to feed you your master's cow??Most Bangladeshis have moved to 2014 unlike you who seem to think that we should become slaves to a particular country because we went to war together 40 years ago!

Um yes you can....if you have the slightest idea of how dish antennas work you definitely can!Indians do not broadcast TV channels to BD through wires....they do it via satellite....you absolutely positively can choose what you want to watch!Apart from local channels you can watch Indian,Pakistani,Arabic,Iranian,Chinese,Korean,Spanish,German,French and most of all hundreds of English channels from UK and USA!But if you CHOOSE to watch only Indian channels and claim that everybody in Bangladesh is going gaga over Indians then that's your issue!

He was not a voter but wanted to see how the polls are held. He had not imagined that he would lose an eye for this interest. It is Anik Das, an 8-year-old child, a Class-2 student.

He had told his father Swapan Das to take him to see the polls on Sunday morning. His father had initially refused but had ultimately agreed.

On the way to the voting centre at Uttar Kattali City Corporation Girls’ School in Chittagong City, a bomb was exploded, damaging his left eye for good.

Doctors could not restore the organ.

Anik is now admitted to Chittagong Medical College and Hospital. His father and mother Shilpi Das are with him.

During a visit to the hospital on Tuesday noon, Anik was seen lying on the bed with his left eye bandaged. The right-side eye is all right.

Father Swapan told reporters, “I had gone ahead of my son on the way to the voting centre. Suddenly a (Molotov) cocktail was exploded with a loud sound.”

“I looked back and saw blood rolling down my son’s left eye.”

He was soon taken to the hospital, but his left eye could not be saved, he said, almost in tears.

“Anik’s left eyeball has been extremely damaged by cocktail explosions and so it could not be saved,” said Dr Mahmudul Haq, Assistant Registrar at the hospital.

“All of the eye came out as it got hit. It was beyond getting back its sight through treatment. And so we removed it through operation,” he added, speaking to bdnews24.com.

“But there is no problem in his right eye,” he added.

The Class-2 student of Kattali Joytara Primary School has a two-year old sister, Puja. They live along with their parents at Kattali.

A medical student, Sujon Debnath, lost his right eye in a handmade bomb explosion at Cheragi Hill crossing in the city just at the end of the Opposition’s shutdown on March 12.

I do support India on many issues....I support and encourage India on its space program when westerners bring poverty and slums for example.....but right now AL is a problem for Bangladesh and it is not big secret that India is supporting AL.....so it is natural that we will discuss the issue.....btw why does it matter to you if Bangladeshis here curse AL....why do you care at all??
