For China one downside of all this training is that the U.S. Navy has more opportunity to practice hunting Chinese subs. This is particularly true for American subs, which are well equipped with passive (listen only) sonar and are even more effective if they have a lot of sound samples for enemy subs operating underwater or on the surface. The U.S. has discovered that Chinese diesel-electric boats are rapidly getting quieter, apparently because the Chinese have learned more about advanced techniques for “silencing” subs. Still, most of the 60 Chinese subs in service are pretty noisy and easy to find.

Actually, BD posters enjoy Indian posters' envy when BD makes a good purchases of military hardwares. Indians are awashed with jealousy because all the wings of BD military are getting stronger with more manpower, hardwares and training. India is no match for training with BD military. The Indian troops cannot even swim. I have seen one video that shows how thsese troops train themselves to swim by putting empty PET bottles around their wastes. Now, these ignorant guys here are boasting about the IA number!!!!

You are such a bad guy, why do you criticize open defecation by the majority of Indians? There is no shame in this for them. This is a part of their culture to remain without clothes, without foods and without toilets.

Also this is a bold step Bangladeshi government is taking especially the planning minister khander, is this part of the new bangladeshi armforces modernization with respect to navy. I mean given the purchases of two frigates, 5 maritime patrol aircrafts, patrol boats, seems like for a small country this is a massive step towards modernization. Is this part of the governments foreign policy towards mynamar based on the policing that border based on escalation bangladesh has had??

Also do you notice a difference between daily star and bdnews24, i find that bdnews is a tad bit more professional in journalism wise not that dailystar is any bad.

sorry i do not have, I only found it in that bangla newspaper ( popular and reliable source). but in Bangladesh Navy facebook fan page it is confirmed that bangladesh is getting 2 type 53B (Ming class)
submarines.

By the way, contrary to what the present AL govt wants people to believe, the guideline to modernize all the branches of military forces was decided at the time of military backed care taker govt in 2007 and 2008.　AL govt is just following the military dictat.

On topic, threatened by two 1950 era submarine? Oh Puhleez. Even Hilsa fishes on padma won't be threatened by that sunkmarine. And given the past safety records on Ming class subs, it's Bangladeshi soldiers who should be threatened with it.

Now, since we have decided that we already know Indian mind, therefore, we will not give transit to India any time during the next 100 years. So, build some sky travelling machine to get into NE, 15,000m above sea level.
