it has nothing to do with religion or modernity unfortunately she became the victim of several events including lack of proper law (it's not a crime for women to enter stadiums also it's not legal too and we don't have a law in this regard in this moment) , US backed propaganda (when she was alive US back news outlets published several news that she may get long term jail which was the main reason of her suicide, she was protesting the sentence while the actual sentence would be maximum 6 months whit the option of decrease in the term or prole) iranian weak news coverage, the inability of judiciary, awful atmosphere of stadiums (i always carry only the amount of money that is enough to pay a cab and never carry my phone or anything expensive, because some people do not come only to watch a game and stadiums in Iran bring the worst of people. let me be clear if such people notice you are a girl lets say in WC it will not end up good for you). so it's not all the cruelty of government however they share a fair amount of the blame as they failed to equip stadiums with the need of women and create a suitable place to watch games.

islam nowadays is strange like it was in the beginning.. ppl will talk like if they knew anything but they dont, take the prayer as an excample! today we know what is right to do, if not take the books and read it and do what the madhab imams wanted from us (not to blindly follow them) but you will face ppl knowing nothing but lecturing you because of some authority in their childhood.. they may not accept any evidence (as if our deen is not based on evidence but on beliefs) from you and what you tell will sound strange like a new religion to them..

so whats important to us is not to step any step back but go further with our deen.. we should be in constant worry to be erased by those we see as kuffar and not worthy today.. or what is it that lets us belive allah does not bring a new generation out of those others and erase us because of our ignorance?

FIFA tells Iran it is time to allow women into stadiums

ZURICH (Reuters) - FIFA president Gianni Infantino has told Iran it is time to allow women into football stadiums and the global soccer body expects “positive developments” starting with their next home match in October.

While foreign women have been allowed limited access to matches, Iranian women have been banned from stadiums when men’s teams have been playing, since just after the 1979 Islamic revolution.

Infantino said in a FIFA statement he was hopeful that the Iranian football federation and government authorities had been receptive to “our repeated calls to address this unacceptable situation.”

He added, “Our position is clear and firm. Women have to be allowed into football stadiums in Iran. Now is the moment to change things and FIFA is expecting positive developments starting in the next Iran home match in October.”

Women in Iran will be able to attend football matches, starting with a World Cup qualifier next month, according to football's world governing body, Fifa.

Fifa president Gianni Infantino said he discussed the issue with the Iranian authorities after the death of a female fan earlier this month.

Mr Infantino said they assured him that women would be allowed into matches.

Women have effectively been banned from stadiums where men are playing since just after the 1979 Islamic revolution.

Earlier this month, football fan Sahar Khodayari died after being arrested for trying to go to a match disguised as a man.

Ms Khodayari, also known as the "blue girl" after the colours of her favourite team Esteqlal, feared she would be jailed. She set herself on fire outside the court and died a week later in hospital.

Her death caused widespread grief and outrage, both within and outside Iran.


Football players and fans around the world have also been paying tribute to Ms Khodayari. Footballers from some European women's teams have been wearing blue armbands during matches, in her memory.

Fifa itself has faced growing criticism, with people calling for the body to suspend or ban Iran's football federation.

What did Fifa say?
Fifa officials have spent a week in Iran discussing the 10 October match against Cambodia, Iran's first home game of the 2022 qualifying competition.

"We need to have women attending," Mr Infantino told a Fifa conference on women's football.

"We have been assured that as of the next international game of Iran... women will be allowed to enter football stadiums. This is something very important - in 40 years this has not happened, with a couple of exceptions."

Although Iranian women have been banned from watching men's teams play, foreign women have been allowed limited access to stadiums in order to watch these matches.

While the sporting ban is not written into law, it is "ruthlessly enforced", Human Rights Watch says.

The ban was temporarily lifted last year to allow women to watch the World Cup being streamed at a stadium in Tehran.

Last November, there were hopes of more long-term change when a group of women were allowed to enter the second leg of the Asian Champions League final in Tehran. Mr Infantino was also at that match.

However, women have been denied access to matches since.

More than 3,000 Iranian women have crammed into a special section of a Tehran stadium to watch a World Cup qualifier against Cambodia, after they were allowed to buy match tickets for the first time in four decades.

Fifa and human rights campaigners increased the pressure on Iran’s sports authorities to let women into games after the death of a fan last month.

Sahar Khodayari, 29, set herself on fire outside a stadium after learning she might face six months in jail for trying to sneak into a match, reportedly disguised as a man.

Apart from a few token groups at three international matches, women have largely been banned from matches since the Islamic revolution in 1979.

The tickets for Thursday’s Iran-Cambodia match sold out within minutes, even after authorities quadrupled the number on sale. Those lucky enough to get tickets included a sports reporter who said she was shaking with excitement.

It was still a meagre provision, accounting for less than 5% of seats in the 78,000-capacity Azadi (“Freedom”) stadium. Footage of the match showed the male stands were mostly empty.

The small women’s section was packed with women draped in, or waving, the national flag, some wearing face paint and wigs in Iran’s red, white and green.

Since the Islamic revolution stadium access for women has been extremely rare and highly restricted. This is the first time tickets have been on sale to the public.

About 20 Irish women attended a World Cup qualifier in 2001, and four years later a few dozen Iranian women were allowed to watch the national team play Bahrain. Last October, around 100 “handpicked” Iranian women entered Azadi for a friendly against Bolivia. But a day later the prosecutor general warned there would be no repeat, saying it would “lead to sin”.
