Blast in Peshawar Qissa Khani Bazar

He knows Pakistani domestic situation way better than you can even begin to fathom..... he is at ground-zero of all that is happening......

So It means Army & ISI can be behind General's killing??

.
That's not what he said... however, you can't discount anything....... when we can kill a whole plane full of our own generals, everything is possible....... "kuch bhee bayeed nahin"

Don't be so naive at dismissing all of his assumptions...... his comments have more weight than most of comments I have seen here today...... the problem is we all like to shoot the messenger.......

Yes, sometimes he does go over-board. Today isn't one of them days.
@Pak-one is a good fellow and i always love having a bit of argument with him, we might have difference of opinion but sometime he goes over the board, especially in this case.

I doubt his assumptions this time around.
I am thinking about possible hand of AQ in this linked to attack in kenya.....

TTP's Jandullah Group has claimed responsibility for the attack:

@Slav Defence @balixd @Pak-one @karan.1970 @pak-marine @Hyperion @forcetrip

The attack on sukkar was claimed by both TTP with ehsanullah ehsan as their spokesman and also by jundullah with ahmed marwat as its spokesman. At that time ehsanullah ehsan clarified that no faction of TTP exists with name of jundullah.
The attack on gilgat-baltistan was claimed by both TTP's jund-e-hafsa and this jundullah. Who exactly is this jundullah?

Pak-one I read somewhere that now there are rival factions coming up with the Mehsud leadership losing ground due the operation therefore they engage in a policy of negation of others.

In this era of misinformation it is hard to believe any narrative. Let's see what comes up.

TTP has to dissociate itself from lashkar e jangvi and other sectarian outfits if they want peace deals like those with hafiz gul bahadur and maulvi nazir.
If they dont clarify themeselves and their partners continue to do such attacks, then they should never talk about peace talks, it is becoming a big joke.
I want peace and hoping for peace doesnt make me a taliban. We should give chance to peace talks and ignore these attacks meant to sabotage peace talks.

Ok look, did you read the press briefing of COAS and DG ISI? as per i have been told, they agreed on talking to certain groups, not all of them, but certain groups, now it is in the hands of these groups to disassociate themselves from militant groups if they want to talk to us.

If these groups are going to attack us how do you think we should retaliate? Ofcourse we will go after such militant groups, that necessarily does not mean we are going to attack the non hostile groups......

@Hyperion; while I'm no fan of any "conspiracy theories", the fact that so many goings-on in Pakistan are usually cloaked in 'smoke and mirrors' gets me wondering too.

IMO, there are just too many forces in Pakistan simply pulling in too many directions, to see any coherent response to episodes like this.

Bali I think the problem is that most of us see it as a military affair. We should see it more as a national issue where every part of the society needs to do its part and that includes developing FATA politically and in terms of civics so we can do without armed groups at all. Only the State has the legitimate use of violence, no group, no faction, no matter how pro-Pakistani they are.

:sarcastic:
Each and everyone whether it be TTP or LeJ or some other demon is the child of our own confused Ideology and misplaced priorities.
We ourself are responsible for all this!

Well, even if the TTP did not commit this act they did kill Maj. Gen. and his escort so why are we still confused?

Historically, every armed group that has been raised by a nation-state whether for themselves or as an act of war, they have turned on their parent. The TTP are no different and neither are these other groups that are pro-PK as of now. In the long term we should see to them being disarmed as well.

May be you are responsible, but No need to drag everyone here...

I think he means it as a nation. That we are.
