Thanks for the post. However, I have yet to see a protest by these molvis/ulema against Terrorism to hit the streets. Where are those dharnas??
Extremist khawarji Terrorism is more of a threat to Islam than Westernised, Salman Rushdie, Zionists, ...
Of course i agree, extremist kharjis are the ultimate threat but u must not forget that these groups were created n controlled by CIA/RAW. There was no such problem here prior to 9/11. You must observe that the places targeted most were mosques and other public places not underground party dens or liqour factories.
Molvis act extreme from time to time but that extremism is another thing not related to terrorism. The terrorism we encountered was engineered insurgencies. Allah forbid if it really had been a religious problem as presented by ttp, Pakistan wouldnt've been able to defeat terrorism. U must look up the 'PAIGHAM E PAKISTAN', a collective fatwa by all religious school of thoughts in Pakistan against terrorism.
The extreme stances u refer to such as khadim rizvi types, all countries have them, they are called right wings parties who are extreme in their narratives yet that is political. The terrorism problem was geopolitical with foreign powers behind it. Concerning dharnas n protests, those are not needed as the state was already working tirelessly on the terrorism problem from the get go, the question we should be asking is, was there a protest by molvis against opps like zarb e azab?, no right?, every element of our country supported that.
Now dont get me wrong, im no fan of mullahs, many of them run factories of jahalat in many places yet there are many good ones too. The problem is that those mullahs who get to limelight in Pakistan are usually the hands of satan n that is not a religious problem but a collective problem of every sector of our society, the worst individuals find their way to the top in every dept including police, judiciary, politics, ministries etc.
Now concerning the Jahalat spread by molvis, that is our fault as a state as much as thiers. We made an Islamic Republic and then left religion in the hands of the private sector, what u see today is fruits of Islamic capatalism. We left madrassas, millions of them, unregulated without a state issued syllabus or funding which left them open to notorious influence and funding by rogue and compromised states like Saudia and Iran. To solve this problem we must own these madrassas again, regulate them, fund them, bring them under the national education system. Imran Khan is the first leader in our history that has taken concrete steps in this direction.
